The Maison Louis Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt scent is absolute perfection—an almost identical match to my favorite luxury santal candle and essential oil (both from different high-end brands), yet somehow softer and more wearable. It’s warm, woodsy, and quietly sophisticated without being overpowering. The texture is divine—silky, hydrating, and completely non-greasy. It absorbs beautifully, leaving my hands velvety and lightly perfumed for hours. Every time I apply it, I get that little moment of calm luxury that makes even a weekday feel special. And that scent? It gives you that certain je ne sais quoi—that effortless, understated allure that only a true santal fragrance can. If you love creamy, sandalwood-inspired notes or are drawn to subtle, elevated scents that linger just enough to feel expensive, you’ll adore this. It’s become my new signature hand cream.

Smells so good.

Having just picked this scent based on notes and not being able to smell prior to purchase I actually really liked it. It’s very subtle which I love making it perfect for everyday. The floral notes aren’t too overwhelming and it does have a subtle powdery scent. The cream itself is great for my hands and moisturizers effectively for my needs. I find it lasts longer than my prior hand lotion but it is expensive for what you get. I do find though a little goes a long way which is nice.

If you know the smell of the fragrance, you’ll Love this hand cream, the only thing is that I’ve used better quality hand lotion that really locks in moisture, this one I just like because of the scent

Amazing scent and performance. The scent is a lot like Santal 22 but replace the “dill” or “pickle” note with an almost bubble gum sweetness.

The perfume oil is great. The hand cream smells very diluted compared to that. I mostly just smell the waxiness of the lotion. Really disappointing.

I keep it at my desk at work, not only for my dry hands, but to refresh the fragrance during the day. Co-workers walk into my office and ask why it smells so good in there!
