Heart-warmingly good!
This is the third book in the Dream Harbor series and my favourite so far. Whilst I enjoyed the first book in the series, the second one was a bit of a miss for me but glad I went ahead and got this one as it was really enjoyable. Even though part of a series, they all read pretty well as standalones. Roles are reversed in this one with the female lead being the the grumpy one. Sorry men, but it is usually the men that are the grumpy ones but Ben is so sweet and is a bit baffled at Kira’s frosty reception to him. Even though Kira comes across as quite cold to start with, it doesn’t take long before she starts to thaw and sparks are certainly flying between the two. I loved the story being set in the immediate run up to Christmas and whilst it feels festive in parts, it isn’t over done but it did have me dreaming that I was snuggled up on the sofa reading it in front of a roaring open fire. In reality it was me sat in front of my electric one lol. It was good to meet up with the other residents readers have gotten to know in the previous books and it’s a wonderful community feel. The Christmas Tree Farm will get you not only in the festive mood but for romance also. It has a warm, cosy feel to it and is guaranteed to make you smile. As with the previous books, there is a bit of spice to it, which isn’t something I am used to in this genre of book as by the cover you definitely don’t get that vibe, but it’s more low key in this one than in the last one which I was pleased about. Either that or I am getting used to and enjoying those parts more! Heart-warmingly good!

Ben 💗
Not being a usual fan of this type of book I read the 1st and 2nd in this series on holiday as something easygoing sitting under an umbrella in the sun. I actually enjoyed the atmosphere of the series and found myself thinking about dream harbour and the residents who are believable and fun. Christmas Tree Farm, book 3, I read out of sequence as I could not order it overseas, reading books 4 (irs/archer) and book 5 (annie/mac) first. 3,4 and 5 are by far my favourite of the series. This, with detailed descriptions of the farm and Christmas events was done beautifully with a longer steamier section towards the end which felt well done. The running theme of possible treasure and Ben actually leaving, enriched the story with a depth I did not expect and has been my favourite. If you want a little escapism read this series - it’s fun, easy and entertaining.

Lighthearted but fun
The third in the series and for me, far better than the second. Yes, it’s somewhat predictable, but sometimes that’s okay. I tend to read two books at the same time, so it’s nice to have something a little lighter when I’m reading something heavier. I guess when you pick up a book like this you know roughly what you’re going to get, but it’s how it’s done that matters and this one was done well. Lighthearted and fun!

Great book
I loved this book, you can read it as a stand alone book or as part of the series of books. It doesnot deminish the storyline in any way.

Cute Christmas story
Absolutely devoured this book with the playlist on repeat. My first dive into Laurie Gilmore and due to the season I thought appropriate. The Christmas Tree Farm is a standalone Dream Harbor series book, however from what I can tell does feature the main characters from The Pumpkin Spice Café as supporting characters. Small spoilers maybe as set after Pumpkin Spice Café but not enough to not enjoy as a standalone. I'll have to read book one and two now. Very sweet, mildly spicy Christmas story, very easy reading and enjoyable romance story. Bennett and Kira will be in my heart. Bennett is a dreamboat - cinnamon roll? Hoping story four is about Annie and the guy she clearly 'hates' (only read book three so far so idk what I am talking about regards rest of the series).

Loved the Christmas theme of this book.
I have loved the Christmas theme of this book. Once again Laurie has kept me hooked with the storyline. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This story takes place in the magical town of Dream Harbor. Its a part of the Dream Harbor series Kira North a rich spoilt brat who has never had gratitude for the privileges she had in her life ends up owning a Christmas Tree Farm far far away from her parents just to prove that she is reliable and capable to achieve something meaningful without any help. Bennett Ellis who has a tendency of helping people is on vacation in the town visiting his adorable sister Jenney the owner of Pumpkin Spice Cafe.. ♥️♥️ It’s Christmas and the magic is sparkling in the air when these two dejected souls meet and sparks fly in all directions.. 🎄🎄 I loved how these two characters have matured in the story.. they meet, the story doesn’t rush and they eventually explore their relationship, open up to each other and not to mention the spice which keeps the romance reader blushing through out.. 🥰🥰. I also loved how these two characters managed to learn from their past mistakes and believed in their decisions. The ending is not rushed and gives the storyline the perfect amount of depth. Add this to your holiday reads and make it more sparkly 🎄🎄♥️♥️🎄🎄. Hope my Bookstagram fam had the perfect Christmas.. 🎅 🎄♥️

"I realized, maybe too late, that being independent doesn’t have to mean being alone." I dove into this book expecting a typical holiday story, but the author completely surprised me. Kira isn’t the picture-perfect protagonist—she’s a little grumpy, a little guarded, and after a lifetime with her sister by her side, she’s thrown herself into an adventure she’s not quite sure she can handle alone. Then there’s Bennett, who’s made his own mistakes and isn’t eager to repeat them, despite his natural “rescuer” instinct. But somehow, they both find a way to set aside their fears and move forward together. I absolutely loved Jeanie, Iris, and all the other friends who welcomed Kira and helped her see that being independent doesn’t mean you can’t ask for help—and that sometimes, asking for help is a sign of maturity, a way of recognizing that some things just aren’t possible alone. 5 (spicy) stars for a story that warms your heart like a cozy fireplace on Christmas Eve.
