Perfect travel companion
Great idea, coffee press for on the go! Really secure seal so no issues with gritty coffee. All to be expected from a recognisable brand

So disappointed!!
I bought this mug based on the brand and the 4+ stars. First thing to note is that the rubber seal on the plunger and the plunger itself is very wobbly. There is no resistance when pushing the plunger down which is due both to the rubber seal being too soft and not a tight enough fit. I drink espresso ground coffee and due to the seal and the mesh not being fine enough or having a double filter as some do, the grounds come through easily. I take sugar and milk in my coffee, sugar is easy enough, you put it in with the grounds but what to do with the milk? I had already plunged before I thought of this. I had to open it back up which brought the grounds to the top, tip out some of the coffee, scrape the grounds away from the top of the cup, wash the filter, add milk and replunge. There are still a ton of grounds still swishing around in the main cup. Another problem is that the plunger does not press all the way to the bottom, so again the grounds are not held in place and continue to brew. Again the grounds are able to make their way into the main cup. I'm so disappointed and will be sending it back.

This is one of the best products I got from Amazon. First of all its Swiss-Design and Made in Portugal which is really great, it is rare to find such products made in Europe. Secondly, it the plastic doesn't absorb heat so you you can hold it fine even without the rubber grip that is built in to avoid getting your hand burnt. I am the type of person that drinks 2 cups of ground brewed black coffee, so I liked the fact that I can have my coffee prepared in my bag and when ever I want to drink it, I will just pour some hot water and Taa-Daaah, the coffee is ready. Something that I haven't anticipated is that the coffee stays hot for very long so you can open the lid and let the coffee cool down a bit, and when it reaches the temperature you want it to be, just close the lid and enjoy. Keep in mind that this will save you the bucks you were going to spend at starbucks and it will save you the time of washing a cup instead of a cup and a French-press. This is the benefit of a 2in1 product. Quality-wise, this product is uncomparable, its made of high quality durable plastic and on my case, I will just use it for coffee, so I won't need to worry about stains, washing it with water only will just be fine. Price wise, the Quality to price ratio is extraordinary, I never expected this product to be what it is for a such a low cost. Overall this is among the top deals you can find in amazon, and this is a high quality brand that it is sold in Starbucks ( at a Higher price of course)..

I thoroughly enjoy this French press; use it daily and no longer bother with any other coffee maker. Understanding how a French press works and knowing what to expect, I can confidently give it five stars. The insulation works fantastically -- my coffee is piping hot after plunging still rather warm up to two hours later. This has been a large issue with my other presses (including those from Bodum). Thank the maker, my coffee no longer goes cold. And the volume is enough that I get a heavy dose of good French pressed coffee every day (even with up to three scoops of grinds). Not like some small presses that force me to make a second cup. Other reviewers have mentioned seemingly negative points that I will also address. First, the sealing of the lid: This is not an up-endable travel mug. Full stop. But it's not advertised as such. Remember, it's a press, which means the plunger mechanism must be able to move. For the price, you can't expect the hardware that would create a waterproof seal around the plunger. So, yes, if you turn it upside down, it will leak. That said, if the mug tips and you quickly right it, it won't leak so quickly that you have coffee everywhere. I carry mine out and about on a daily basis, put it in the outer pocket of my backpack and, as long as I'm a little careful, I have no problems. Second, grinds in your coffee: On the last few sips of coffee, I typically do taste a few grinds that have managed to slip around the edges of plunger screen. It's not the end of the world and it tells me my coffee is done for the day. The edge of the plunger screen is a silicone-esque O-ring which is enough to push most grinds to the bottom, but like all French presses I have used, some may get by. You must also understand that you are not pouring the coffee out of the press (which further keeps grinds from getting into your coffee cup). You are drinking directly from the press, so you can't expect zero grinds 100 percent of the time. As long as I know this, I'm not bothered. Third, problems operating: If you use it properly — not with super fine coffee powder, pushing the plunger consistently but slowly, sometimes making a few attempts — the screen doesn't get blocked and there isn't the pressure buildup that would force water (and grinds) around the edge of the plunger. Some folks complain this happens every time. Operator error isn't exactly something to complain about.

I love a good black coffee and Bodum has made the best takeaway coffee press/mug. I've had a smaller one of these for many years and it's so well worn, I decided to replace it with a new one and discovered they came in a larger size (bonus!) :) So I can guarantee you that these coffee mugs last and last. Just use your favourite ground coffee add hot water and go! If you use milk, you'd probably need to make your coffee first, press it; and then add the milk afterwards (I'd imagine). It also keeps your coffee hot for hours, so no more cold coffee if you're out and about!
