They Do The Job
The Heyco #0022 in my opinion are more or less the same as the #0030 set. Both can be adjusted (fixed opening) to fit smaller or larger diameter strain reliefs by unscrewing the center pivot screw and adjusting the geared jaw piece and setting the preferred opening distance. They are moderately easy to adjust. The only down-side is that they are kind of clunky and loose fitting. You also have to be careful with the spring when setting the preferred size. They also seem a little pricey too.Other than that, they are more or less THE standard for strain relief pliers.I would recommend them over many other cheaper ones, or pliers (needle nose or other tools).

The right tool for the job
We have older equipment in our lab and the cords become suspect. These pliers allow me to release the strain relief bushing quick and easy without mutilating it. I have used such things as a pliers wrench and so forth to do the job. I cannot give it 5 stars because the adjustment leaves much to be desired. Just hope you don't have to adjust it because the process is a nuisance. Other manufacturers that make similar tools having parallel jaw movement, but designed for other applications, employ much better adjustable jaw designs.

Suitable product
I have been dealing with strain reliefs on cords for decades; I recently was talking with a technician I respect and he showed me these Heyco pliers. Looked pretty handy but the cost from my usual oulets was pretty steep. I checked on Amazon and found these for $15 under the going rate; I no longer have to mangle strain reliefs and chassis faceplates with improvised tools. The item was delivered in great shape and very quickly!

Design needs to be improved.
Not easy to adjust the size.

Sloppy, loose assembly, jaws do not align properly
Very sloppy, loose assembly. The jaws do not align properly so it does not apply the force necessary to remove and install strain relief bushings. My guess is this issue may be limited to the one I received ....but you need to be careful. Thank goodness for Amazon's excellent return policy.Pro'sKit Strain Relief Bushing Assembly Tool170mm 85PN works great (and is cheaper).

They are functional.
I am disappointed with these, using them at work and they have a steep learning curve, I am getting the "hang" of them but they just dont "feel" as good as other brands.
