Product Description 30 years on from the release of the Firing Squad single and the classic Moving Targets album, Easy Action presents two classic live shows recorded on the Manor Mobile in 1978 and 1979, the latter being the show in which singer Pauline Murray announced the band was breaking up, which then turned into a frantic nine song encore. Review "These live sets are so good, that perfect mixture of rawness, virtuosity, energy, poetry and passion, that you need never listen to the studio albums again." -- Record Collector

it's just not fair...
....but what is? Chances are if you read this you are a Fan - Amazon seems loaded with well kept Secrets. Already had a few of these Tracks on the B&W Sleeved Vinyl from way back. It's always impossible to tell if you're just being OTT when eulogising about Bands like Penetration but boy were (are) they something.Apologies but I am going to digress - As a Teen my elders & betters said of my Musical Taste that it was tuneless & I would 'grow out of it' or words to that effect - Nowadays I think the opposite to be true - What I hear is simply mostly superficial, possibly talented but ultimately unoriginal Bands being indulged beyond any semblance of proportion and I quite often think that if a Band such as Penetration came along now they would 'Clean up' - But they wouldn't would they? Otherwise Hundred Reasons, Buffalo Tom & the Bluetones would be living in Gold Houses driving Rocket powered Cars with Chester J Lampwick. These recordings are powerful, inspiring, exciting and leave you in no doubt this is a Band for the Ages.

Life's a Gamble.....
Bought this for my wife's birthday..who was at the last ever Penetration Show in Newcastle (With the lineup from first album)I saw them myself.a couple of times..and have the albums and singles. Two gigs recorded ..and in a nice little package jewel box.Sleeve notes written by Kris Needs.I was always impressed with the energy Pauline Murray gave off at the gigs ..and the enthusiasm she had for the songs. The "difficult" second album was probably not up to the standard song wise as Moving Targets...but when I play it gain...there are some crackers on this. The sound is good on recordings...and everything is there that you could want..including tracks that you could only get on a semi official bootleg "Duty Free Technology" which was demos and some live stuff.......Still one of my faves is "Stone Heroes"..great stuff....Nostalgia for an age yet to come....

Do dictate: no danger signs: lovely outrage etc etc
Its marvelous. Truly great band: neither punk nor post punk nor rock, just always themselves. The final gig is one of the best live recordings I have heard. Buy it ahead of the studio sets, then get Pauline's solo album to understand why it had to end and how worth it the wrenching change was. Pauline Murray & The Invisible
