As advertised
We used this product to suspend resilient channel on the first floor ceiling of a new construction apartment unit. Seemed like a high quality product, and performed as advertised. Using it again in the other projects we’re building.

Clips
It was my first time installing clips and hat channel. It was really easy to install these and the hat channel clipped in perfectly. Sound deadening results are superb. I would purchase again.

If you’re looking to soundproof your build, this is the product to buy
The media could not be loaded. My company specializes in soundproofing/acoustic isolation. Sometimes it’s new builds in upscale neighborhoods, sometimes it’s recording studios downtown, lately we’ve been doing work on new apartment complexes (I think “you won’t hear your neighbors” makes for a pretty good selling point). We also get jobs from people who covered every inch of their home studio in those acoustic foam pads but found they didn’t help as much as they’d hoped. We’ve used countless products over the years (and the big jobs that demand 100% silence across all frequencies will need multiple solutions working together) but these are definitely the best bang for your buck when it comes to soundproofing. These get installed just before you hang drywall, but they don’t make hanging drywall any more difficult. So if you’re in a position where you’ll be hanging drywall, you might as well install these and make the room significantly quieter. The bottom line is that sound clips will do 80+% of the soundproofing without any other products (green glue, double layer drywall, intumescent putty, decoupling light fixtures, floors, HVAC, etc). You can go all-out and triple your costs, or you can buy a couple boxes of these and get way better than “good enough” for most projects. Do yourself a favor, install these any time you are installing drywall. It won’t take much longer or cost much more money, but the space will be a lot more peaceful—forever.

Works well to significantly reduce noise between floor/ceiling
Quiet apartments are important to me. And I’ve made a number of them now. These clips are just part of a complete noise reducing system, but they are an important part.Using 4 layers of 5/8 drywall (2 under the floor and 2 hanging from hat channel attached to these clips) as well as lots of green glue and mineral wool insulation I’ve been able to reduce noise between up/down neighbors to next to nothing. I can play 80dB radio up or down and can’t hear it in the other. Impact noise is also reduced but to reduce it even more I’ve added additional tile board upstairs with more green glue and rubber isolation mat under a floating floor. Results are excellent. I’ve now rehabbed several old up/down duplexes making them livable and quiet for all my guests. Makes me happy.

Expensive But worth the money
Very nice clips the bushings are nice and soft. Make sure to follow the specified instructions depending on how many sheets of drywall your using. I did 2 5/8 sheets of fireguard so it was lots of weight for a ceiling but they hold well with steel channels. If your looking to sound proof your room I recommend these well worth the money don't skip small steps.

SO GOOD
I used these to soundproof the ceiling in my basement as I was putting in a basement apartment. It worked really well, even better than I was hoping. Haven’t heard a peep from the renters and they say they can’t hear me. I’ve got kids who run and jump around a lot, and the difference in noise you can hear down in the apartment is staggering. Installation was pretty easy, too. Watched a couple YouTube videos and it was smooth sailing. Shipping was super fast, too. Absolutely recommend.
