Good for heart health. Has a very strong smell

I was very excited to receive this Arjuna Bark Powder, produced from the fertile regions of India. The only problem was when I opened up the box it arrived in a big puff of powder greeted me, since the see through plastic on the front of the bag had a tear. I was able to tape it up, but I think this should be packaged differently to protect the product. If not for the tear in the packaging I would have given it five stars. I still trust the product and understand things like this can happen during shipping. I’m impressed with the adherence to global standards of organic farming. This arjuna bark, which is a new phenomenon to me, is grown without harmful chemicals. I like that there are so many ways to use this product from a tea, to use topically on the complexion—and more. It is great as a cup of tea, which is the way I decided to try it out. I took a teaspoon of the powder and poured hot water over it. Since I like my tea sweet I added 4 drops of liquid stevia and a teaspoon of honey. It has a unique and earthy flavor and an exotic taste. It also has a calming effect. As a matter of fact, the tea is on my desk right now. I just gave a taste of it to my husband and he also said it tasted “earthy.” I like that it is an ayurvedic supplement and the fact it is quality inspected for purity to make certain it adheres to highest standards of USDA-certified organic. This is an extremely unusual and captivating supplement to me. It has so many benefits and contains magnesium, zinc, calcium, and copper. The ingredients support the heart and bolster immunity. It is also chockfull of antioxidants that help fight free radicals. This is also a beauty supplement since it supports graceful aging and hair, skin, and heart health. I highly recommend this product that is truly extraordinary. I plan on adding it to my morning or afternoon tea for a special touch to my day straight from the fertile farms of India.

You're supposed to use this to make a tea-like drink. Easy enough. But even adding various kinds of sweeteners, as well as lemon or other fruit additives, doesn't really help the taste. It isn't bad, but it's weird. I think maybe the tea itself works, at least a little, but that might be a placebo effect.

I’m trying to collect a stockpile of alternative or homeopathic supplements in liquid, capsule, leaf, and powder form. I’ve never heard of arjuna bark powder, but there’s always a lot of information out there on the bark. Not all supplements have FDA approval, but this one does. This arjuna is produced and packaged in India. That being said, any supplements I use are recorded on my medical records just in case I have an adverse reaction. The ingredient label simply states this is arjuna bark powder. There are some suggestions for use, but I’ve spotted some on the Internet. There is a claim that the arjuna bark powder does lower blood pressure, among other things. It does have a Best By date stamped on the packaging. I do like this brand (love it actually) and have enjoyed trying out several of their products. I like the fact that it’s in a resealable bag that has a window in which I could actually see the arjuna bark powder

I am really loving this Arjuna bark. It's from a reputable company and it's an organic product. It's packaged in a large, 8oz re-sealable bag. The bag can be a bit tricky to re-seal if the powder gets wedged into the sealing part of the bag, so I had to flick the bag a bit in order to clear off the seal. The bag is a paper-ish material. This product is sourced and packaged in India, so its fresh and authentic and it's obvious when assessing the quality of the powder. I am using this powder for it's skin benefits, ie, anti-inflammatory properties. I have made an oil infusion using a 1:9 ratio of this powder and ozonated sunflower oil. It is currently sitting on a sunny windowsill and it will remain there for about 4-6 weeks. I will then strain the oil and use it in my face oil recipe for sensitive skin and/or my eczema oil recipe. I have purchased several other products from this supplier previously and they have all been great for my needs and I have had no issues with quality or anything else.

I am an avid user of Ayurvedic herbs and have found them to really make a huge difference in my overall health. This is the first time using Arjuna. It has an earthy taste that I don't find offensive at all. I have tried it as a tea, and it isn't bad at all with a little honey. This is great if made into a topical skin paste. It helps with any inflammation issues. I have been using in my daily morning smoothie to add a boost of antioxidants. I don't even taste it when mixed into the smoothie. So if you are sensitive to tastes, this might be a great option. I choose to only buy organic herbs, as many supplements on the market are filled with all sorts of chemical fertilizers, etc. Overall I have been happy with this purchase, and look forward to trying more items from Darsa Organics.

I blend it daily with a protein shake and it blends well with no bad taste. Organic being a plus. No complaints.
