after reading mostly decent reviews, I figured let me try for the price. I have an old tank of a camera Canon Powershot S410 which I use for rugged work and such...basically anything I would not be heartbroken if this broke for. The original battery crapped out. I read some reviews that the dimensions were not exact and maybe didn't fit whichever machine. I'm glad to say that yes, it did fit the powershot and the battery clip did snap into place no problems and the compartment cover did close without any interference. So that's a big plus.I will note, the length (top to bottom) is ever slightly longer. The most obvious is that this battery is lighter than the original. As far as the power goes, it seems ok but I need more time to check. I will update if this fails early but otherwise, it works fine so far.

It works and a reasonable price. But listing states, "CANON.....Battery..." My opinion is this is deceptive wording to give impression it is a genuine CANON product -- it is NOT a CANON product.
