Pure Spanish Saffron Tin 28-Gram (1-Ounce)

Great product, especially for the price! The saffron is aromatic and very flavorful. There are almost NO yellow pistols. Virtually all of them are a deep red. It's also a generous quantity! I am very satisfied with my purchase!

This stuff was awesome. I'm a saffron freak and was worried about buying it online, but it cooks and smells and feels like every other quality saffron I've used before, but for a fraction of the price (how???). I ended up buying 4 more boxes and everyone I've gifted it to loved it as well.

You get what you pay for. Yes this is cheaper than some other brands, but if you're going to spend the money for saffron, just bite the bullet and spend the money. My order also actually had the plastic bag slightly open with a bunch of saffron that fell out. Poor packing for such an expensive product.

This smells like saffron, but is mostly dyed filler. It tastes like saffron even though you have to use a much larger amount than better quality saffron because it is at least 90% filler, this is a mix. By doing the water test you will see between 90%-95% of the product is not saffron. Put a small pinch in a bowl of water and most of it loses its color and its form turns into soggy brownish slimy strands that disintegrate. In that small pinch a few strands are real saffron, you can tell because they retain their reddish orange color and their form, and when taken off and rinsed then squished between your fingers they look and smell like saffron. The rest of it just turns into a brownish mush of something else with no color or odor except a small amount it picked up from the water. So buyer beware. Scam.

Not as good as other saffron I have used, requires more to get same flavor.

Excellent quality, aromatic, and such an unbelievable price. Will re-order over and over. Even the decorative tin is memorable and something to keep.

extremely poor quality

I was buying my Saffron at TJs in the small .25 gram bottle. I decided to smarten up and buy in larger package and found this on Amazon. Lots of Spanish saffron on the web but this brand seemed to have the most positive reviews and a great price. It's worked well in my recipes and I'll buy it again when needed.
