My 3 year old Monster Truck obsessed nephew loves this. It’s sturdy, requires a little skill to get the trucks to spin, so it keeps him occupied. Great!

This Monster Jam Megalodon Loop of Doom playset comes boxed with minimal set up required and a megalodon monster truck. All the parts are made well and fit together easily and the instructions are straight forward to understand.Once you have this set up you can adjust the brown boat part to where you want it and then launch the monster truck to go through the loop, over the gap and continue down and through the flag to the end. I got this for my 5 year old who is mad on monster jam and although he could use it it was a little tricky to get the right power and adjustment to make the loop with the cars, I think we managed it after quite a few goes just the once then he gave up for a bit but for an older child I think it would be the challenge that would keep them going and enjoying this.It is currently £24.99 which is a pretty average price for this brand and item and I do think it will last for many children to play with.

Below is my own real-world experience of using it.Firstly, the loop was incredibly easy to build - the whole process took less than 5 minutes, following the included instructions. Once built, I was surprised by how big it was (it seems larger than it looks on the listing photo). All the better, as it’s a very sturdy construction, with a colourful and sleek finish. I really like the attention to detail - the boat, the loop acting like a huge sea wave, and the cute little beach on one side.The Megalodon car is well-made, with a solid body, and a cool metallic design. The chunky wheels have a smooth movement, with bouncy suspension that allows for some neat cornering, when the car is rolled along. It fits neatly in to the grooves of the main toy’s track, and flies around it completely.In order to get the Megalodon around the circle, the big yellow lever needs to be pressed down. I found that this does take a little more downward force to get right, but it’s excellent - the loop has been engineered at just the right angle, so the car can even jump across the gap at the top, without falling off.Overall, it’s a very good value playset, and one that my child enjoys using. Recommended.

My 8-year-old has quite a few trucks from the Monster Jam range so he was very excited to play with this toy. Unfortunately, after it was built and he sent the shark truck around the loop a few times, he got bored and he hasn’t played with it much since.The thing I like about this toy is that you can actually get the truck to complete the loop and shoot off the end of the track. Often with these toys, there is a bit of an anti-climax when you can’t get it to work as advertised. I’m pleased to say this one really does do what it says it does!If the child you’re buying this for has any other Monster Jam play sets and trucks then this would be a great gift for them.I think this would suit ages 3,4 or 5. Any older and they may get a bit bored like my son did. I think he is going to prefer playing with the shark monster truck rather than the playset itself.This would be a great toy to keep at a nursery or playgroup.

This is a fun set for the little ones.It is easy to put together if follow the instructions.Then the challenge is to be able to launch and complete a full loop and touch the flag.It is well made and it looks sturdy.My son will do recommend.
