It’s really a sturdy blade. Surprised by quality.
This knife is legit. You get what you pay for, that old saying is true 99% of the time. This is one of those rare amazon items that defies this old saying. I had no need for another knife , I’ve got plenty. However it popped up in my recommendations and I clicked on it, read the reviews and decided to buy one. It got here within 2 days and as soon as I opened it and I felt it, my immediate impression was how solid this felt. You could do some damage with the knife handle bc it’s so solid. I’m not crazy about sharpening my knives with super expensive and technical sharpening systems. I use a basic sharpening tool made by work sharp and it can put a very sharp edge on most all blades I’ve had. It was factory sharp but after I ran it through my sharpener it was extremely sharp. I cut my thumb just by lightly feeling the blade, as the reason my product pics show a thumb with a band aid. It was from this knife. Also I do like the paddle sheath. I’m a big fan of kydex type holsters for my pistols, it’s all I use nowadays for my EDC of my 1911 and th9c Taurus. I have to wear the knife on my left side bc my gun is on my right but that’s not the fault of the knife, I can just cross draw if necessary. The case may hold up, it’s not high quality but is worth 10$ on its own without a knife. If the clip ever does break the sheath could easily be fashioned to be horizontally carried on your belt with some para cord or whatever you want. Bottom line is that this knife was a very pleasant surprise and after this terrible year of 2020 I’ve learned to appreciate any wins that come my way, big and small. This small win is for sure worthy of the extra time I’ve spent writing this review. I could have just gave it 5 stars but I think it deserves a good written review. I’m going to buy the fillet version as soon as I’m done writing this. I could easily field dress any type of game from small to large with this knife, the fillet knife will get a written review once I receive it. I will update this review after some everyday use but for now I would say buy it and give it 5 stars for sure.I’ve had for a week or two now and what can I say, I really like this knife. It’s possibly my favorite knife. It’s hard to say, I have a Camillus and a Smith and Wesson knife that sit up at the top of all knives I own, this knife belongs with those 2 in my collection. I ordered the fillet knife version in stainless steel and it was not of the same feel and build. It’s ok but doesn’t compare to this black tactical version. This one is solid and just feels incredibly solid and sharp. If I had to fight for my life with it the knife would perform better than I would most likely. It’s just a heck of a knife.

I LOVE THIS KNIFE!
I have used this knife as my go to for seven months and I have used it for everything. This is a sturdy reliable and attractive knife that has not yet met a task it could not meet. It retains a great edge and the spine is thick enough to provide a very robust heft. And whatever type of sharpening method you use this knife will take it well. I have had no issues with the tip either, it is sturdy and has not shown any signs of being brittle. The handle is not over bulky and feels good in the hand. Being plastic it holds up very well regardless of how dirty or wet the work is. It cleans up quickly and with little effort. The sheath is comfortable, more so than I thought it would be. I assumed it would feel bulky and limiting but happily it feels very natural and does not move around very much. The only downside is for us left handed folk; by design you cannot put the clip on the other side of the sheath. However if you have kydex clips you can fasten them on the left side and ground down the screw wells, if you really want the draw to mirror the right handed orientation. I have decided to leave it as is. I draw reversed on the left side and it has not been a very big deal. If you are left handed you get used to those types of issues.End of the day you cannot beat the value for the money here!

Horizontal back sheath conversion
Great craftsmanship on the blade and handle for the price. One thing I thought was, you would be able to convert it to a horizontal sheath on the belt. I had to swing by Lowe’s and grab some M4-.70 lock nuts, M4-.70x12, and M4-.70x16 cap screws in order to “customize the sheath and make it a horizontal one. I punched the pre cut holes with 5/32 bit and rotated so I can draw with my right hand.If it had the holes pre cut with the option to change it from left, right, vertical, horizontal I’d have given it a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Off hand retention weapon
I love this thing.I carried a Karambit off hand retention knife for countering strong hand firearm grabs (former law enforcement, tactical training and operations). I came temporarily to the NV/CA area, and their descriptions on “metal knuckles” is vague enough to potentially turn the retention ring into a criminal legal fight over brass knuckles. With no existing case law in the area, I ordered THIS knife to be my retention combatives off hand weapon while in the area as it meets all legal scrutiny for open carry. The knife itself is great!! It’s become a new favorite, next to my also always-carried Cold Steel Spartan (which I also highly recommend). The ONLY complaint I have is the paddle holster. I’d prefer a belt loop, but my personal preference doesn’t downvote a ranking because I knew it was a paddle when I ordered it. It’s not fair to downvote for that. BUT, that said, the paddle has rounded retention bumps on it that are designed to slip under the belt and press up, holding it in place. But these bumps are too slight and too rounded, and deployment of the knife frequently resulted in presenting the knife... AND ITS SHEATH! The whole thing pulled off. So I took the knife itself (which is very sharp) and I carved divots and a counter-groove into the existing belt retention bumps. This changed the sheath from being easy to strip off my belt line by intention or accident and into being one of the most effective and hard to remove paddles I’ve ever used.It now delivers rock solid performance and never pulls free by accident. So when I need the knife, I KNOW that ONLY the knife will come out when I pull it, and I also know it’s not going to dislodge in a scuffle or when running.Do the modification, and never worry again. Great knife. Great sheath.
