Generous portion, fresh
I can't buy fresh turmeric in my town, and like to add it to my smoothies (with a little black pepper). I wash it, chop it up into smaller pieces, and keep it in the freezer. Lasts me a few months this way, and I only have to deal with bright orange fingers for a few days.

Some was very dry
A good amount for the money, but some pieces were dry and easy past there best.

Perfect for the recipe
I've bought this product several times, I also get galangal. If you are looking for a recipe, I'll give you mine. Turmeric, galangal, one whole head of garlic, a bag of chillies, and onion or two, depending on the size.Peel the turmeric and the onion add to a food processor, cut up the chillies and add them to the processor along with a small can of tomatoes and then add some oil pulse it to get to the way you want it (remember there are different types of Chillies you can use. If you are using the smaller ones; they can be really hot) When you've got it to how you want it, pour it into a jar and add olive oil until it covers all the paste and when you take some out, add some more oil. I've left the salt out; just add it to taste. The paste can be used with chicken, beef, pork and fish. If you try this, you will enjoy it and pass the recipe on the others.
