May be we don't have souls, but we are souls or spirits. The body doesn't have a soul. It could be other way around—the soul has a body!

I liked reading it very much. Although it is not the kind of book you would finish in one sitting but I finished it slowly, chapterwise. Broadens your understanding of people dealing with mental illnesses.

One of the best books about people and behaviour from the point of view of a very compassionate doctor-author. It's a gift to mankind.

I got this book to understand neuropsychiatry purely as a layman. Easily explained and in short chapters, it should go on your bookshelves. Neurological disorders are very common, and this work by Saks informs how life comes in all shades and should be lived to the fullest.

Leitura fascinante! A forma que Oliver Sacks usa para narrar alguns casos clínicos dos mais "absurdos" e "inacreditáveis" é belíssima. No livro temos tanto o lado "romântico", com uma narrativa bastante descritiva, quanto um "laudo", em que o autor explora um pouco mais os casos do ponto de vida médico e científico.
