I wish I had bought one of these units years ago. The GLAHODEN retractable garden hose saves time when you're done with your car washing or gardening needs. The unit I purchased includes a 100 FT hose by 5/8 ( 3/4 would be better for water flow rate ) and is mounted on any solid structure that can withstand the 13.2 lb weight. In a recent YouTube comparison among less costly and a few double in price, the GLAHODEN stood out as the best bang for the buck. I've used the hose system multiple times since I purchased it and I'm glad I did. Alas. The hose is not kink-proof, probably because it's spooled up. With the summer upon us, letting the hose sit on the ground for a bit will reduce the kinks, especially when washing your vehicle when you're moving from side to side. On the plus side, you get a 9-Pattern triggerless Spray Nozzle included. The unit is easy to mount and pivots 180 degrees when using it. The hose retracts automatically ( spring loaded ) and quickly, but you should not release the hose when it's at length; help guide it back by holding/walking back the hose until it retracts fully. for longevity. Customer service is very efficient when you contact them via email. Recommended.

Easy to install. Lightweight but decent hose. Easy to pull out and retract. Good flow and performance. Mostly use for watering and general hosing off stuff. Probably not for those wanting heavy duty high flow hose. Only knock is the plastic housing is slightly starting to fade after spring, summer, fall season (I bring it inside for winter). Although, I will say it gets full sun most of the day and is exposed to elements. I imagine if it is in covered area wouldn’t not be nearly as bad fading.

We were so excited when we got this we cut the Box open right there in the driveway. We just had a big deck put on so mounting this was simple due to having it screwed right into the 6x6 post. It is a very high quality made item and it is very heavy. Make sure you mount this down very securely or it could damage your property. The ease of the Rolling unit to pull the hose out is simple you just walk away from the unit. It does swivel 180° to get it anywhere in the yard that you would need it to be. Then to retract it all you do is give it a tug and walk it back to the unit. You cannot just give it a tug and let it go you need to walk it back to the unit. At this price it is a good value for the money and with it being a 5/ 8-in hose you're going to get the best water pressure you could have.

The sturdiness is excellent—it's made from high-quality materials that feel durable and built to last. The functional hose hold is also great; the reel smoothly retracts the hose back into place without any snags or issues.I haven’t noticed any significant loss in pressure, even when using it at full length. The hose is long enough to reach every corner of my garden without any trouble, making it versatile. Ease of use is also a plus.

This is the hardest thing to mount. The screws and nails it came with bent in half and ripped out of the brick. So, I bought a 4 x 4 and cement to mount it that way. Having only four holes to put screws into is not enough. The hose is so heavy even with industrial screws. It began to rip out of the 4 x 4 at the top. I wanted to love this and if it could be secured properly I’m sure it would be great. Beware installation issues.

installed this a few days ago. after the first attempt hit a snag: i drilled into a pipe in the wall. if i was a half inch either way i would have missed is, seems that i'm a sniper with a drillpros:- length. more than i need- hose width. i purposely choose the bigger hose because of the pressure on that length of hose- retractable mechanism. works great, you do have to let it pull fast to coil correctly- nozzle. good nozzle with a handy trigger which sits on every position. lots of spray patterns. bit too many if you ask mecons:- although the hose seems stiff, you can pinch it. not a big deal- for the price i would love to see some quick connectors. especially for the nozzle. the nozzle does not swivel from the hoze and would be handy to easily take of the nozzle
