My picky skin likes this despite scent; works as well as a serum 3x cost; 4.5 stars rounded up to 5
Vitamin C is great to help brighten and improve skin appearance, but not all vitamin C serums work for me. Some make me break out. This one surprisingly works well for me, and I didn't expect it to based in the ingredients; for instance, it has denatured alcohol fairly high in the ingredient listing. However, it has the magic 3 ingredients of vitamin C, vitamin E, and ferulic acid. These are the primary ingredients of a serum that sells for more than 3x the current cost of $55 for this serum. The scent of this is herbal medicinal to me. I am not a fan of scents, and while this one isn't particularly appealing, it doesn't cause any irritation, and I can use it on my face without feeling distracted. If your product starts to smell like bacon as one reviewer noted, use up your product quickly since that's a sign the ascorbic acid is starting to degrade. The degraded product won't hurt you, but it also won't be very effective. To help slow down degradation, this product needs refrigeration. Ascorbic acid is very effective, but there is no getting around the degradation problem, and other forms of vitamin C aren't as well studied. The ingredients on this get a 65/100 on Yuka, which might seem low but is actually considered good. The ingredients that lower the score are the fragrance ingredients and the alcohol. I am knocking off half a star for the fragrance ingredients, but then rounding up because my skin does so well with this.Ingredients: Water, 25% Ascorbic Acid, Propanediol, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat, Tromethamine, 1,2-Hexanediol, 2% Ethyl Ascorbyl Ether, Dimethicone, 2% Panthenol, Hydrogenated Ethylhexyl Olivate, Methylpropanediol, Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponifiables, Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Extract, Sphingomonas Ferment Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Ferulic Acid, Butylene Glycol Cocoate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Palmitic Acid, Tocopherol, Glucosylrutin, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Allantoin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Ethylcellulose, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Phytate, Beta-Glucan, Glucosyl Hesperidin, Ubiquinone, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Sodium Dilauramidoglutamide Lysine, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Isostearyl Alcohol, C12-16 Alcohols, Caffeine, Flavor, Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol

Favorite Vitamin C
For a 60+ year old woman, I don't have a lot of discoloration or melasma so finding a Vitamin C serum has always been a low priority. I've tried a few but the texture, consistency and/or smell always turns me off from using them. I think I saw James Welsh, one of my favorite YouTube "skinfluencers," recommend this one, so when I got the opportunity to try it, I jumped. Based on the ingredient list, it looks to be a very powerful ascorbic acid formulation (21%). Ascorbic acid is not only the most effective form of Vitamin C, but it's also a volatile compound that oxidizes easily, so I've had to keep it in the fridge (which is a pain in the neck, since the kitchen is nowhere near the bathroom), but all the effort has been worth it. This stuff does an incredible (and remarkably fast) job at brightening the skin. While I don't have specific spots or areas of concern, my entire face has just really been glowing as a result of using this. I still have the same issues I found with other Vitamin C sera - it has a weird, slippery oily consistency, it dries down to a slightly tacky, tight finish (that's not particularly comfortable) and the smell isn't great, but I'll tolerate all that for the fantastic results.

Creates a long lasting dewy effect
This serum, layered underneath by regular moisturiser Created a long lasting dewy effect. I was able to avoid makeup a couple of days as my skin was so radiant. However, I did not particularly like the scent - but overall the postives outweighed this one negative. It is a little pricey, but you will see a difference in the radiance of your skin.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
MY ⭐️RATINGS:5⭐️- EXCEEDS MY EXPECTATIONS!TOP QUALITY & MUST HAVE.‼️KEEP IT REFRIGERATED‼️This ampoule/serum has evened my skin tone, faded dark spots, and left my skin brighter, smoother, and younger looking.I have been using Medicube Deep Vita C Facial Pads, and combining the two has made a dramatic difference. I had very light pigmentation issues on my cheeks that were no longer visible. It is lightweight and absorbs quickly. I have sensitive skin and have no issues.I find if I want results, I must be consistent and patient. Missing applications slow the benefits of the product on my skin.HOW I USE: AM & PM1 - Cleanse my face,2 - I apply 3 - 4 drops of this serum on my face.3 - LAST, I finish with my usual moisturizer.Medicube Age-R Vita C Pro Ampoule works well with the other skincare products that are part of my facial regimen.EXPIRATION DATE: 11/23/2025I always check for an expiration date before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products. This ampoule is as advertised, and works well. The PRICE is in the usual range.

Average
So it's an average serum for face. I'm not too sure if there's any real results with this product. It does absorb well and feels nice on skin.

Get your glow on
I love medicube and this vitamin c serum is no exception. I wear a c serum every morning as a slight boost to my SPF as well as for its effects on skin brightness tone. This serum is easy to apply, has a mildly sticky texture but sinks in well and doesn't cause pill when applying my sunscreen and makeup. I don't notice a fragrance, but I keep it in the fridge which mutes smell. I like the dark bottle to protect the serum from light and the dropper is great. My skin likes this formula and I noticed an improvement over the c serum I was using before, a stubborn spot of post acne pigmentation has started to even out after one week of use with no other changes to my routine for the past month. My coworker complimented my glowing skin and asked if I had a new boyfriend...no, just a new serum lol.
