The button that rest on top the spring of mine was very badly machined and did not fit into my key properly. I tried reusing the old button from my previous fob, but it did not fit into the plastic of the key fob. After sanding down the metal piece myself to make it fit, I was met by a new annoyance. The lock button on my fob and only that button is unreasonably stiff, I shouldnt uave to summon the power of.my ancestors to press the button that locks my car. Lastly the hole in the back where the screw goes has an awful feel in the hand, i hate it.

I'm going to try and be fair to the seller while staying true to my experience. The item received was as advertised and I was able to use this as a replacement for my partner's key fob after it broke, but if these aren't the biggest pain in the ass to put together. It took over an hour, two people, and multiple videos to figure out how to get this thing together. I don't think it's an issue with the replacement, but an issue with the style of key fob. We ended up half-assing it and assembling it in such a way that the key doesn't retract or extend. Trying to wind the key enough times felt like trying to diffuse a bomb. All the pieces fell apart in our hands several times while trying to get everything just right. SAVE THE SPRING from your other fob. During our attempts to get this to work, the spring got bent and was no longer useable. My advice would be to take it to a dealership and make it their problem, it simply was not worth the trials and tribulations to make this functional. All of that said, the key does work, if not a little loose.

These shells worked great for me! It took me about an hour to do 2 keys and winding the spring so the key pops out was a little tough on the 1st one, but piece of cake on the 2nd one. This was a big dollar savings to take apart the old keys and use the motherboard and the “already cut” key. I’d do this again in a heartbeat! Thank you!!
