Kingston Brass KS8198CTL Continental Single-Handle Water Filtration Faucet, Brushed Nickel

We bought this glass filler tap as a replacement for the kitchen tap on our whole-house reverse osmosis drinking water system. We are on a well and the system serves our ice maker, kitchen and bathroom. Installation was fairly easy and my existing hardware fit the inlet of the tap. The only hard part, of course, is getting at the mounting behind the sink under the sink cabinet. Have a helper hold the tap in place when tightening the mounting nut if you install this yourself. You may need to replace the plastic gland on the tube fitting. Beautifully finished in polished chrome-plated brass. Spout swivels so you can mount the handle in any position you like. Very smooth action of the tap handle. I think this is a ceramic disk type tap, so it should last a very long time. Made in Taiwan for a California company. For some reason, the manufacturer states that this tap is not suitable for reverse osmosis systems. I'm not sure why they say this as our tap works perfectly. We have a relatively low pressure RO supply, but no problems and no drips so far. Perhaps under-sink single point RO systems use different tubing or fittings. If that's the case, you probably can get brass adapter fittings at any well-stocked hardware or home improvement store.

I bought this faucet to compliment my new Hansgrohe Cento kitchen faucet, as this faucet design is very similar. Installation took about five minutes, and since I used flexible braided 1/4” compression water lines from my under sink filter no extra fittings were needed for the water connection. Also included in the box was an optional compression collar and nut, so it would be easy to also connect 1/4” plastic supply lines. I don’t trust cheap plastic water supply lines, which is why I only use braided stainless compression lines. Lever operation is smooth and solid and the spout swings easily from side to side. The chrome finish looks very good. This faucet also comes with a ten year warranty. Great value.

Installed in 30 mins, extremely happy so far, very smooth operation, quiet and NO leaks. I had just bought and installed a Kingston Brass Bar faucet, that too is high quality. I had previously bought 2 slightly cheaper drinking water faucets, 2 different sellers, both leaked from the handle, both returned. So I went back to Kingston and was pleasantly surprised to find the drinking water faucets which I immediately purchased. This one is far heavier than the cheaper ones out there yet sleek and modern! Worth the extra few $ for the quality.

The faucet is good BUT the installation washer is too thin. This makes it loose at the countertop when I try to swivel the faucet spout, it pivots on my countertop instead. I had about a 1” diameter hole for my last faucet so this thin washer is bending. Would be 5 stars with a thicker washer. Now I need to buy some thick washer and basically reinstall this. Frustrating.

Very pleased with this product. I bought it to pair with a Culligan IC-EZ-1 EZ-Change Icemaker/Drinking Water Filter, also highly recommended. I wanted a beter faucet than provided with the Culligan US-EZ-1 EZ-Change Undersink Drinking Water Filtration System i wanted for my sink. This thing fit the bill. What sealed the deal for me was going to the Kingston website and finding a repair diagram and parts available. The faucet is extremely well built. If you're handy with tools it should be no problem to install in a sink or counter, provided you have an available hole to install it into. It operates as smooth as silk, with a strong flow even through the filter. The chrome finish complemented the existing faucet. It pivots out of the way when not needed. The handle only needs a quarter-turn for full on and you don't need to hold some flimsy lever to fill you container.

I upgraded our small truck camper fresh water system from a hand pump to a pressurized system. It was a simple matter of installing a 12 volt pump, strainer and this new faucet. It is well made, solid and has very smooth actuation. The 9 inch rise in the spigot makes it possible to wash large items in the small sink. The outlet just happens to be sized perfectly as it directs water straight down to the very center of the sink. This was the main reason we chose this design. Most of the alternatives had a slight angle to the outlet which directed the water forward as well as down. The discharge volume is not as great as a conventional faucet but that too is perfect for our application. Since we have a limited capacity on board, we don't want to use any more water than we have to. As it is, the faucet is perfect for our needs :-)

Seems well made and so far after a month no drips! We had another tap that dripped constantly so pray it continues to work this well! My husband had to adapt it fit from the 1/4 inch to a 3/8 inch water tubing and it works like a charm. Style is perfect.

A quality product. I was concerned that the 1\4 inch connection might produce a slow water flow, but that is not the case. Unlike other similar products, I like the fact that the flow is straight down.
