NIGHT & DAYFurniture Murphy Cube Cabinet Bed (Stonewash, Queen)

I am really really Impressed with this cabinet bed. Very hesitant to order it due to the price, and also due to my past experience ordering furniture on line and having to put it together. It arrived in less than a week. I was not expecting it so thank goodness we were home. Two boxes. One for Mattress that was vacuum sealed and thus fit in a smaller box. And the other was the actual bed. Very sturdy wood here. Not pressboard or anything. The majority of it was already assembled, so I would say about 10 pieces in all. The hardware included to put it together was of great quality. I have put online furniture together in the past and the hardware was cheap, missing or did not work with the pre drilled holes. Not here. Everything worked perfectly. We did use some wood glue where there were wood dowels used to help hold things together. We also used a cordless drill that saved time. Took two people about 1.5 hours to unpack and assemble. Went together well without having divorce court. There is a nice space to keep bed linens/pillows when it is closed up. easy to open and close and one person can do it. Hubby and I laid out on it when finished and we were amazed how comfortable the mattress was and how sturdy it was with two average sized people on it. We even tossed and turned a bit to test creaking and strength and it did not move or creak at all. Highly recommend this cabinet bed and the manufacturer (Night and Day furniture) did a great job with quality, materials, and instructions (including assembly videos if you wanted to watch them). I tried to contact the seller to determine delivery day but I got no response. Well done Night and Day Furniture!

What a great product! Assembly was a joy - with the only error being a misplaced label on the top panel that stated “this is the back”. It was the front. I’ll forgive them that because everything else was perfect. Well made and designed.Easy to set up and put away but you do need two people. Or maybe hard with one easy with two.Seems comfortable but haven’t slept in it. Must be better than an air mattress.Delivery and box packing were first rate.

I didn't make a video because it took my husband and I 3 hours to put together the parts. The directions were good for the most part, except it was hard to see where some of the dowels went. It was pretty logical. The only place we had a problem was putting the side panels on the top frame. The directions didn't indicate front and back so I made a guess on the left and right sides. It looks great and very solid furniture. Haven't tried out the mattress yet but I think it will be comfortable for our guests.

We have used it only once, but the bed seemed great. Love the look of the cabinet. Would recommend.

The cabinet bed itself is great and putting it together was pretty simple! Such a great alternative to a traditional wall Murphy bed!I will echo some of the things previous people have commented- not a bed for people weighing over 250 or for two plus sized sleepers- for us this is not an issue though and my husband is 6’4” and comfortable on the mattress.We had a bit of an issue with the mattress cover we initially received- but the owner of SDS cabinet beds was super kind, helpful, and understanding. He sent us a full replacement mattress right away. I really appreciated it! Thank you SDS!

I have a small house and really wanted a Murphy bed, but my guest area is in a finished basement with low ceilings. I decided to take a gamble with this Murphy cabinet bed, which was thousands of dollars less expensive than the other cabinet beds I had seen. Five years later and I remain absolutely thrilled with this purchase.Once assembled, it is so easy to set the bed up and then return it to cabinet form. I'm a fairly small person and it takes me only a few minutes to make up the bed (including putting sheets on it). It's also a very comfortable bed! My spouse and I wound up using it nightly for four months when our upstairs was being renovated and our backs did not complain at all. Our guests have loved it, too. It also looks quite nice when in cabinet form. No one realizes it's a bed!

THe only issue was a poor fit on the middle legs due to interference between the vertical leg and the fold down portion of the bed. It did not lay flat after assembly - so I took that section appart to add 4 (total) 1/4" washers to space the leg for a much better fit. See the diagram for where I put them in.Other items - Did not rate the comfort yet - since we have not slept on it - but seems very comfortable on initial evaluation.We purchase this "some assembly required" version since the entry configuration into the room would not allow a prebuilt cabinet pass, so this was a great solution.Assembly was straight forward, while some parts labels could have been useful - the online videos were valuable.A caution on shipping - this is delivered by a VERY big truck. In our case he would not drive down our driveway to deliver it, which I understand from the size of the truck. I took our utility trailer up to the street (200') and he was able to offload it to our trailer. We were able to use a hand truck (and my son) to get it into the house. It is also feasible to open the boxes and move the parts inside. If you have a great - level - short driveway, you should be fine, but others - think ahead.Fast shipping. Good videos. Great communication by the final delivery folks (although there thought on small truck are different than mine).Bottom line - We are happy.
