Pleasant Taste
It doesn't have a strong taste which is great for me. I am not a fan of herbal taste. I like the fact it seems to help in my dieting efforts. I usually put in my early morning snack time smoothie to help me from eating more. I need to be careful taking other things with my prescription so this being all natural works just fine. (Always show your health care provider anything you buy even herbal. I do.) The only thing I wish is that it had a measuring unit with it since it didn't I just used a teaspoon full. If it had I would have given it the extra star. I sent my daughter a bag also as I found this to be the best price on this product. I wanted to come back and give an update. My Daughter said she like this and from a coffee only drinker that is saying a great deal.

This stuff tastes great; it's a very distinctive flavor
This stuff tastes great; it's a very distinctive flavor. I have tried the Green Tea Latte from Starbucks and this tastes very similar when I make it; I use 8 oz of hot water, 1/2 tsp of matcha, and a generous helping of Italian Sweet Creme liquid creamer. It's delicious AND pretty! I don't know if my using a small "normal" whisk as opposed to a tea whisk is the cause, but I do always end up with silt in the bottom of my cup. It's not excessive, but I've never got it to entirely dissolve no matter how much I stir it. I just leave the last sip in the cup, similar to what happens if you have instant hot cocoa. It takes such a small amount per cut, this small bag will last me at least a year, so it's an excellent deal in my opinion.

and sweet. I'm a bit skeptical in it been Japanese
Its bitter, so I would say it about mid-range in quality. High-grade Japanese Matcha is bright green, smooth in taste, and sweet. I'm a bit skeptical in it been Japanese, as it screems Chinese Matcha. Chinese Matcha is easy to get your hand on, as Japan exports a very small amount Japanese Matcha a year. Chinese Matcha is a dark green colour, bitter, and tad grainy. My guess of it being m-id-range quality is that it does nicely blend with hot water, has ,again, a bitter taste, but goes down smoothly. IF your really picky then at all means buy it. Its a plus that its organic and gets to you fairly quickly. But if you wanna be a snob about quality and taste, then teavanna is your best bet.

INCREDIBLE! & THIS FROM A FORMER COFFEE FANATIC!
this stuff is amazing. i'm a former fully caffeinated coffee drinker. still caffeinated but feeling much better.i was a coffee whole bean organic fanatic. but over the years the jangly energy and crashes, brown/yellow teeth, liver spots on hands, almost drove me away...but eventually i just lost the taste for coffee.i still work out and need the caffeine, so was using yerba mate, green tea, etc...all very wonderful with smooth caffeine energy. when i came aware of this i had to try...and WOW!great rich texture like coffee, but total rich green tea taste. super energy for workouts or in the morning without jangles.also became aware of the many brands and prices, and carefully read reviews until deciding on this product.the CLEAR organic certification in the U.S. and price were the determining factors, but the taste and strength is supreme. will be buying more, and for former coffee drinkers who like their caffeine, just don't like it jangly and with a crash, this is great. i have it with raw honey, a pinch of pink salt (try it) and half'n'half.

Not that flavorful
Distributors were good, got product quickly. This was my first matcha tea purchase and I find it very grassy. I do use a whip to stir it but still get a lot of tea in the bottom of the cup which doesn't taste good. I do get some energy after drinking. I had read a review staying this is the same tea that Starbucks uses in their green tea. If it is this doesn't taste the same. Due to the taste I don't believe I would order again.

Good but grainy
The price is excellent, USDA organic certificated and shipping super fast. First impression was good a beautiful green powder very refined. Dissolved into a murky brown. I follow the instructions using hot water 8oz to 1 tsp of powder. Even using the bamboo whisk making to the foam supposedly disolving all the powder but is not completely dissolved leaving a grainy texture. That takes from the actual experience. But the taste is very good not sour like most of the green tea.

Not bad
It came a day earlier than it said it would so I was excited about that but when I opened the package it didn't smell much like most matcha powder. It didn't end up tasting that bad but it's not as much of a vibrant green as I was expecting. It's pretty good for its price but not the best quality green tea I've had. I imagine it's best in baked goods or smoothies.

Nothing special
Its good for baking, making ice cream and milk tea but by itself it taste just like green tea bags simmered in water. Its brownish green like most green tea powder that you find here, so dont expect a vibrant green. Does not have a strong taste and wasnt that bitter to me.
