Energy That Hits the Slopes Just Right
Purchased the mint chocolate chip CLIF protein bar as a quick boost on ski days and it has become a go‑to on the slopes. The flavor is a nice balance of mint and chocolate without being overly sweet, and the texture is easy to eat even in cold weather. The mix of protein and carbs makes it a solid refuel between runs, and the added caffeine gives a noticeable but smooth lift without feeling jittery. It packs easily into a jacket pocket, doesn’t crumble apart, and keeps energy levels up so it’s great for long days on the mountain.

Multi-flavor review
I have tried every flavor of Clif bar available to me. So, I'll go ahead and rate all of them (My picture doesn't show all the flavors I tested. This review will include more - 8 in total) Firstly, all Clif bars make me thirsty. Maybe not 'thirsty' so much. I think it's the ingredients that need a little help going down, if you know what I mean. Also, I'm rating based on the fact that these are Clif bars :p meaning, none of these healthy bars are fantastic or going to compare to a candy bar (I guess you already know that) As a side note, all Clif bars have a similar taste and texture, which is kind of oaty/tough-chewy. And now, the various flavors ~ Cool Mint Chocolate - I didn't expect to like this one as much as I do. It's like a much-less-sweet York peppermint patty, definitely mint chocolate. It's not too dry, and has a drizzle of icing on top, which is a nice touch. It also contains 54mg of caffeine (a typical cup of coffee has 100-ish, according to google) So, keep that in mind if you're caffeine-sensitive. 5/5 stars Chocolate Brownie - I am 100% in agreement with some other reviewers who say that this flavor is a tough one to tolerate. It is definitely chocolate-y, so it SHOULD satisfy a chocolate craving (it is hardly sweet at all, though) BUT these are so dry that I have to choke them down and chase nearly every bite with gulps of water. 2/5 stars. ( I can't go lower than 2 stars because I appreciate the ingredient choices of Clif bars in general, and like the fact that the company seems friendly/responsible ) I would not recommend this flavor. I think the company would benefit from trying to re-invent this particular recipe. Or maybe I got a bad batch(?) Chocolate Chip - I usually like chocolate chip anything, but wasn't impressed by these. I wonder if I got an off batch, because I couldn't detect much chocolate (or 'cookie' flavor at all really) These just seemed kind of bland. Not bad, but not really great either. Honestly, I can't say much about them. They weren't dry too, though, but weren't as moist as other flavors. 3/5, possibly higher IF the batch I got was just an unfortunate fluke Peanut Butter Banana - I was very surprised by this one. I always dread trying banana flavored things, because they are usually artificial tasting and kinda gross. These were good. The banana tasted so fresh and real (probably because it was lol) and it worked really well with the peanut butter, which was not at all overwhelming like peanut butter can be sometimes. The bars also have some dark chocolate in there, and it works great. I still can't believe that this was one of my favorite flavors out of the bunch. The bar was not dry at all, and was just really pleasant. 5/5 Blueberry Almond Crisp - These were great. Blueberries dot most of these bars, enough that I could actually pick out a blueberry from one and eat it alone. It's nice to see real ingredients like that. There were even a couple slivers of almonds visible too. These bars aren't dry, just nice and pleasant to eat. I will say, something about the taste was a little strong for me. I think the blueberry flavor is a little overwhelming. You don't really detect any other flavor, so the almonds get kind of lost in there. 4/5 Oatmeal Raisin Walnut - These are pretty much what they sound like they are. I would describe them as a hardly-sweet oatmeal cookie. You have the tang from the raisins, and the occasional (soft) crunch of walnuts. These bars are nice and moist, the 2nd least thirst/chase-with-water inducing flavor out of all of them. 4/5 personal rating from me, just because I'm not a big fan of this particular bar White Chocolate Macadamia Nut - (This flavor had been my go-to, until recently when I decided to branch out and explore the other flavors out of curiosity) Zero dryness, and the most dessert-like out of all the flavors (still not SUPER sweet, though) There are actual pieces of macadamia nuts in there, and the icing drizzle is pretty. Overall, just really nice 5/5 Crunchy Peanut Butter - Easily one of my favorites, if not my favorite. This one is like a peanut butter cookie, but again as with all these bars, not very sweet. Very moist, no dryness at all, easy to eat without a water bottle at your side. (Kind of weird for a peanut butter flavor, I know) The peanut butter is not overpowering at all. It's very nice and mild while still being obviously peanut butter. Visible peanuts throughout, but not so crunchy that it's rough on the mouth. 5/5 no question, and I'm not even a huge peanut butter fan Clif bars are reasonably priced for the quality and amount you get in a box, if you ask me. (And it's always a big plus when a company seems to care about their ingredients and reputation anyway) They make you feel like you've eaten something that's doing your body some good. And I do usually feel a boost in my energy levels after having one, especially with the caffeinated mint flavor, which is nice. I've been buying them on and off for years, and will continue to

Great for any time!
I love these because I love chocolate and mint together and I battle nausea all the time and these really help and I can keep them down when I’m hungry but feeling sick. They do have protein and more important, they taste great and I can’t find them anywhere for a better price. They make me feel satisfied and not too full so I sick all over again because with some of us, it’s a balance and not easy to achieve. For me, these cover all the bases until I’m feeling human enough to actually eat a regular meal and as far as I’m concerned, and I’m a former medical specialist, the quality is good.

Excellent energy boost bar
These are one of my 2 favorite Clif bars which I use when running and biking. The flavor is great and the caffeine is an added boost. They also make a decent breakfast replacement when on the go. Amazon always seems to have the best price as I typically pay less than $1 per bar.

Dry and hard; but tasty eaten with an apple.
For some reason, these are not as good as they used to be. The recent orders I've received have been somewhat dry and hard. I remember them being much softer in the past. I still order them, eating them with an apple which helps the dryness. I do like the lift they give me when I need to press forward caring for my husband but don't have the energy. These help!

Mint choco is the best
Always a hit. The mint chocolate ones are the best. They have a little caffeine in them, too, for that extra boost. My college age kids love them.

I like chocolate mint
Better price than grocery store! I like chocolate and mint together and this delivers. There's some caffeine but I don't know how much it affects me as I usually drink coffee and tea. I tend to eat these Clif bars when I know I will be too busy to eat lunch but will need to workout soon after eating. I hope that makes sense. I get a yummy flavor, a boost of energy, but I'm not so full that my belly is uncomfortable to demonstrate workouts for clients. I don't find these bars too dry. They're not gooey either. I do like keeping them cool for a refreshing treat.
