Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this one because it was affordable, had good reviews, and looked exactly like my original key fob. I wanted something that would be easy to program and fit my car perfectly.

Looks OEM (minus the Ford logo). Pretty easy to transfer the electronics from the broken module.

I had no idea that you could replace the outside of the key fob! Both of our factory key fobs had broken so that you could no longer attach them to a key ring. After replacing the outside portion with this, they are good as new!

I was really excited to find these at this low price. You get what you pay for. I bought 4 and they all had the same issues. First the metal battery contact was not attached to the inside of the case as it should be. I used a dab of super glue and attached it. Than I assembled the fob. I have done this at least 5 times in the past ten years and I used to be in the profession of installing car stereo so I'm not an amateur. The second issue I noticed was on the silver opening that attaches to your key ring there is typically 2 plastic pieces that the back plate fits around. These do not exist on this fob. OK maybe not 100 necessary but does help with alignment of the back plate. At first I thought it was working fine once I assembled but then I was having problems the same day with the panic alarm going off whenever I touched the fob and other times the fob didn't work at all. I disesimbled and reassembled. Same problem after doing this 3 times I gave up. Very poor quality product.

Works good for a few weeks the rubber was tight and the panic button kept getting pushed on my pockets but it’s been about a month now and it works good. Kept the ford back so I still have the logo

Perfect! Bought it to replace my F-150 Fob as it was pretty beat up.It was a breeze to take to guts from the old and install in the new one.

This key bob shell is a perfect replacement for the original that had been dropped just one time too many. It has an equally high quality feel to it and went together with the circuit and batteries from the original in literally and figuratively “a snap”.Time will tell if can tolerate the abuse the original key fob case took but I’m betting that it will. Only thing missing which is truly no issue is the Ford badge…I’d imagine you could go to Ford and get a replacement cover but not at this prices!!!
