I just purchased my second one of these! The first stayed up nearly constantly for two years on my apartment balcony. Finally had to get rid of it when a storm I could be there for tore it up. It's pretty sturdy and can take more wind that you'd think. Very easy to retract and keep safe. Makes a MASSIVE difference on the temp inside my apartment in the summer.

With 3 windows facing the West, it gets really hot. (In the first photo) the awning is folded up all the way when not in use, it isn't an eye sore and you can hardly notice it. (Second photo) it's a little under half way down, just for the photo. (Third photo) is the awning fully down to cover the windows from the hot sun. Just wanted to show there are many positions to fit your needs. The final two photos show the incredible temperature difference the awning makes in our home! 20 degrees! Everything else is also there, color, size, quality, rain protection, sturdiness and price. Hands down a great buy.

Really great and easy to put together. my only complaint is that the top of the poles don't flex to fit the slope of a roof overhang and require additional work arounds to hold sturdy to the overhang.

This is a 5 star item. Durable, and easy to assemble. It says 2 people suggested, but the 2nd person will only hold up a pole for a few minutes. Could be a 10 year old. No text instructions, but pretty clear pictograms. Parts are labeled and easily identified. Note: Unless mechanically secured, a good breeze brings it down. I used a 1/2inch general purpose screw in each plastic foot (top & bottom). It has stood through 2 pretty good storms, one of which brought down trees and power lines. I could not be more pleased unless it was free.

Do not buy this product! The weight and length have no middle support and this crap caved in within 3 weeks! Instructions are horrible! It needs a support arm in the middle of sorts. And I can’t get my money back unless I disassemble and pay for a new box, take time and ship it back. DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY!

I was almost able to install this by myself, and may have been better off doing it myself, because when I got an extra set of hands, I didn't secure my side they trying to make adjustments and bent the foot on my side. I thought I fixed it as it went up and seemed secure, but the first day it got windy it started shifting. I put a ratchet strap around the posts on the end of my porch and they were fine. I then ordered some brackets to secure the poles to the posts. Since then the foot on my side is no completely useless, but the brackets I installed are holding both sides securely and we just had some 50mph gusts the other day. The awing is great for reaching over the top of my smoker and casting shade on my back door as the sun gets lower in the sky. I had left it open during a heavy rain and it filled up with water up top, but it didnt do any damage to the unit. I now roll it up when any storm is coming. I've left it open on pretty windy days since I secured it, and it may flop a round a little but doesn't seem to damage anything. For the price, and some relatively inexpensive brackets, I'm pretty happy with the setup.

This awning is working out great! My front door faces West, and when the sun starts setting, it shines directly on my front door making it so hot that it is hard to touch my door knob.. Putting together the awning was not that hard, but I would suggest watching the video on how to do it first. I would also suggest having two people put it together. The crank handle makes it easy to roll it up and down and once installed, the awning is very sturdy. However, the awning does not roll down so it is vertical, making it somewhat useless when the sun is about to set. To remedy that, I am purchasing a small tarp to attach to the bottom to act as a removable curtain so I have shade no matter what. . All in all, I am glad I bought it.

Love it. Complicated to assemble but after it assembled it is a great product. Love it. My backyard looks great. I would suggest to have it in bright colors.

Easy to assemble, but there are steps where two people are needed. The assembly instructions are also relatively easy to understand. We have had some windy weather, so far so good with the product. We are completely satisfied with it.

We’ve only had it up for a few days, but so far it’s been great. We’ve never been able to enjoy our patio on sunny days because it gets so hot. Now we can spend all day out there. Our patio ceiling is too high so we have strapped it to two beams which are conveniently 138” apart. So happy with this purchase, even though it was a bit tough to put together with confusing instructions.

Die Beschreibung ist eine Katastrophe aber ich habs trotzdem geschafft und jetzt funktioniert sie einwandfrei man kann die Länge einstellen und die Höhe das finde ich super jetzt hab ich endlich Schatten auf meinem ganzen Balkon ich bin sehr zufrieden danke
