Good paints
Awesome paints, not so awesome miniature or brush that's why you get them as bonus, nobody wants them. But the paints especially the yellow, absolutely brilliant! The brush on primer is rubbish needs extra coats dries with syreaks does not auto lvl like Vallejo primers. The metallic silver is sweet, but the gold is bad in coverage. Overall good paints!

Very good paints with strong colours
I really like these paints and having used citadel for several years I am finding myself confused to army painter

Really good starting point
I picked this up after receiving some warhammer figures for Christmas, so I had no paint at all. This set acts as a great starting point as it gives you all the basics - A strong Red, Yellow and Blue (Primary colours) plus a really strong green. You also get Black and White, a good dull brown, and two metallics. I've not used the brush on primer, but the Strong and Soft tones are interesting. I found the strong tone dries a little glossy, while the soft tone is more matt. On top of all that, a free brush, painting guide and model make this a nice little start.

Great range of colours.
If you are just starting painting war game minatures, you soon discover all the different paint colours you are going to need. This set , sets (no pun intended) you on the right path . The paint can be thinned down with a little bit of water on your palate , so you don’t obscure the details with thick paint. Just thin it out and paint a few thin layers for great coverage and depth of colour. I’ve come to find that ‘The Army Painter’ range of paints does a great job , and is cheaper than some other brands.

Great starter point
The set I bought to begin my painting journey. It's cheap enough to get you started but includes a base for you to build from. You also get a figure to practice on

Great starter set for new hobbyists
Great starter set with all the major colours you need. Red, yellow, blue, green, brown, black, white and a flesh colour, plus a silver and gold metallic. All very natural shades that are a good base to mix together to make other hues. The brush on primer is handy if you can't or don't want to use sprays and the strong tone wash is one of the best all round shade products on the market. I recommend thinning the paints as usual or using a wet pallette. The model included is a little basic but a handy standee for games of Hero Quest or the like.

Perfect Painters
Fantastic paints for model painters. Much better quality than Citadel. I recommend them.

The coverage and pigment is awesome. I was anticipating this set for sometime and trying to find an excuse to get them. The consistency of the paint is superb and requires thinning down to apply to your models else it's far too thick. The dropper bottles with shaker bearings are great as a baseline and help you quickly get back to painting. The selection of paints is a beginner set - however for the veteran hobbyist it will give you the core paints to compare to AK, Citadel and Vallejo. I am already contemplating using the blacks and whites instead of my Citadel range with the red a great go to for my Blood Angels.
