Turtle On Log Spitter Fountain for Pond and Garden, 78371

I live in the forest and have very natural surroundings and a large pond. My pond has quite a few resident painted turtles. I thought this would be a nice tribute to them! The pond is fed by a trickle of an artesian well coming out of a black hose. I thought this little turtle would add some whimsy and look nicer than the black hose. It really does! Instead of a trickle it does actually spouts! And though it’s some kind of resin it looks bronze metallic. The dog loves to use it as his drinking fountain. This purchase pleases me to a ridiculously unexpected level. Some things just tickle me, and this is one! Love it!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Some items that are important if you purchase your Turtle (which is quite cool): You need a pump barrier bag (if you have an outdoor pond) and a pump of at least 180 GPH for your Turtle. I went with the Aquascape 180 GPH pump and the Hecate pump barrier bag (5 inch). There are other products out there that I am sure would also do the job. The recommended 90 GPH pump is not sufficient for your Turtle to shine, and without the screen the pump will clog within minutes.

This is super cute. Goldfish and keeps my goldfish happy in their new pond. Have a spotlight on it and it glows.
