not perfect but it works
I needed more roosting bars and thought this would work for my coop area. It didn't go together perfectly but it did go together. The wood is soft so the screw heads wanted to go into the wood. It has a bit of a wobble on a flat surface but for my chickens it still works. It should fit 2 chickens on each rung fine. Not sure if they will like the swing yet. Hopefully it holds up for awhile.

For those of us who have limited woodworking skills. 3.5 š
Purchased during Amazon Prime Days to save a few $.Wanted to have some roost options in the chicken run. I found a diy one made out of tree limbs which would have cost next to nothing. But, this was on sale, so went for it. Reading through the other reviews with photos the wood looked decent and the reviews are pretty much on point. The directions are limited, but if I can do it, anyone can. š It took me about an hour with little to no skills. When you first start you're going to be a bit frustrated because you think the slats and holes aren't lining up. So, just line up the hole with the bolt and angle the wood step piece so it's in the same direction as the wood grooves. You're still going to question it. But continue on making sure every thing is facing the right direction and follow the limited instructions. Eventually it will look like it's supposed to.The wood is actually decent - on the heavier side compared to a prefab coop that I've put together. There was a crack in one leg piece. It was there before I started - I don't even have enough hand strength to over tighten a bolt to crack the wood. But, once done go through and hand tighten the bolts one more time. After moving it around, it's definitely needed. One side of the a-frame didn't line up no matter what I did. I wasn't about to drill a new hole, but it will be fine for the chickens. I'm including photos of these minor flaws.I thought about painting it to give it a little personalized flair, but left it as is since it will be in a covered run. If left outside in the elements it probably could use a coat of paint or a protective waterproof sealer.3.5 š because of the limited directions which make you question your sanity, the crack in the wood, and the one side that didn't line up.Would I recommend? Sure, if you're chickens are in need of some extra entertainment they probably could benefit from this roost. Now, let's see if they use it. š

Amazing!
I love this roost set so much. It is perfect for my chicks that are 6 weeks old and it will be great when they are full grown! It is made of very strong wood and all of the holes are pre-drilled. They give you a screwdriver that you can build the whole set with. I built it all right away with no other tools. All you need is the small Phillips screwdriver they give you, but you can pull the end of the screwdriver out to change to a flathead screwdriver for other projects. It will be located in our chicken run under a covered porch after it is completed. Iām excited. I want to buy the double swing set also to place in their area over the grass.
