This book is well written and beautifully photographed

I live in Colorado River Country and have run parts of it. I love this book. It is both beautiful to the extent of making you feel like the next best thing to being there and the pages are thick, easy to turn and the phots are reproduced in superb color and intensity. Definitely something I pick up often, sometimes just to look at pictures to refresh my spirit.

It's a beautiful book, every page filled with large and captivating pictures, and the text is so interesting, interweaving personal stories with river facts. It sat out on our coffee table last weekend and nearly every person who walked by picked it up and read longer than they expected. This is the spellbinding result of one man's life's passion, and living near the Colorado my whole life, I'm fascinated by the book.

Beautiful collection of panoramic views of the Grand Canyon. A great tie in to A WALK IN THE PARK. I only wish it was easier to match up the photos in this book with the locations described in the that book!

Gave it as a birthday present and the receipient couldn't put it down. Absolutely gorgeous photography and a lot of really good and interesting information about one of the most important sources of water west of the Mississippi.
