Vida Designs Entertainment Cabinet, TV Stand, Solid Pine Wood

OK, so it's made out of bonded pine so for strength it's pretty much, if not better, than solid wood. The top, therefore can be seen to be made up of "strips" of wood. Actually looks quite good, not to obvious from a distance, but hardly antique looking! It will support a lot more Kg than it states, with ten minutes of (inexpensive) DIY it will support 200Kg. It's a lot stronger and more stable than the stand that my 180l aquarium is currently resting on. Agree with another reviewer that for TV/HiFi units they will mostly always have to be put in from the back. Either you leave the back off, and compromise a little stability or you just nail it shut! Without the extra shelf, you can get 2-3 "old style" HiFi/TV units in the LHS and a decent sized canister filter (for aquarium) in the RHS. Holes will need to be made in the plywood backing, but it's not difficult! It's a silly price for such a useful product. doesn't take long to assemble if you use an electric screwdriver.

This is a stylish piece of flat pack furniture and really good value for money. When it arrived one of the panels was cracked and warped but I contacted the company and they very quickly provided us with a new one. It is quite difficult to put together but the instructions were very good and we found that as long as these were followed in sequence there was not a problem. I would definitely recommend this item.

Made with decent wood looks nice when finished but the parts weren’t numbered and instructions for assembly were not clear put a lot of flat pack together but this was the worst ever

Strong good build of furniture and looks really smart. Just be ideal if the wood and screws were labelled

The item came flat packed and well packaged. The wood is solid and seems of good quality, but unfortunately, the fitting is not perfect, some of the holes are misaligned which makes fitting difficult and the end result is that some of the pieces are also misaligned, in my case it is the door. I followed the instructions to the letter using the correct recommended tools.To take it apart again and return it would be a real pain so I'll just have to live with it. So unfortunately, only 2 stars and can't recommend this item at this price point.A real shame, because it could be a nice unit.

This is generally a good unit, which is OK to build and is fairly sturdy. My main problem with it is that the gap in the facade is too narrow to fit a standard size amplifier and DVD player through. Is only 41cm wide. I had to leave the back off the unit to be able to put my amp and DVD player into it from the back.

This is the worst flat pack item I have ever bought. I was difficult to assemble and looked nothing like the picture on the website. I returned it and got a full refund. Terrible!
