As i have aged i have found hair in places I never used to have it, including up the nose. I have used several different electric nose trimmers for this task in the past but never found them to actually be any good. I turn them on, wiggle them around up the nostril for 30 seconds then look to see nothing has changed. I then got my hair cut at one of those fancy Kurdish hairdressers and without asking my permission (maybe they asked, but I don't speak Kurdish), violated my face orifice by jamming two cotton buds up there covered in wax. By this point I was committed to see it through, and was surprised once I got home and looked in the mirror to see that my nostrils were in fact hair free. The future had been shown to me. I purchased this specific set as it seem reasonably priced for the number of applications and thought it was worth trying for myself. Using the instructions I half filled the cup with wax beads and melted in the microwave for 2 minutes. I would say for a single nose hair removal that the suggested half a cup is too much wax, I threw more than half of it away afterward. Luckily, due to the silicone design of the cup, the wax simply peels right out once set, saving any cleaning. The disposable tips screw into the handles and once i had coated and twisted the wax onto the end I place it up my nose hole and gently pressed the outside of my nostril. It doesnt take long at all to set, (you want to be removing it no longer than 60 seconds after you insert it.) My first tug and nothing budged, and I panicked slightly! I had seen the fail videos of people getting wax stuck up their nose and I didn't want to be one of those people. A second tug and I felt it start to loosen. The message here is that it is quite hard to forcefully pull these out yourself, not due to them being super stuck, just as a natural human defense of not wanting to cause yourself pain, like trying to rip off your own plaster fast; your brain says no! Luckily my wife gladly stepped in and was more than prepared to remove the second one! I would say the fear is worse than the actual pain, which lasts a mere millisecond and isnt actually that bad. Anticipation of death is worse than death itself, so they say. I was amazed at just how much hair it had removed. the sticks looked like two tiny blue hedgehogs. This really is a full kit and even comes with a roll of tape to protect your moustache/stubble, and everything fits in the nice draw string pouch to keep all of the equipment stored for future use. I shall endeavor to use this monthly which should keep the pain relatively low and last more than a year. Top tip - if you wait until the wax is soft enough to knead then place a small piece just inside your ear, with a little flap to pull once set. I found this to be excellent to remove that equally unwanted ear hair. Just be careful not to push it too far into your ear! Getting old sucks!

Very good easy to use

After having my nose waxed numerous times at the barbers I bought these as a do it yourself investment. The kit is a great kit and gives you everything you need. The only complaint I have is that no matter how I have tried it so far I cannot get all the beads to melt and give me a good workable consistency with the wax. I have tried other wax beads that have worked better but am still yet to find the one. If the wax beads could be improved then it would give this kit a 5 star review but I will keep trying.

Now, I must admit the fear was real. Ive reached the age I cannot ignore the unwanted hair, yet I feel too young to leave it grow. The kit is reasonably priced - feels and looks well made and had simple instructions. I decided to only do one nostril, because you know - the fear however I felt not single ounce of pain - nothing and yet if I pluck a single hair I have tears on my face, since however, well almost felt good. A reminder - you need to pull hard and fast. I quickly did the second nostril and instantly felt better. I won't upload pictures of just how effective it was!

Simple et efficace

As I age, I lose more hair on places where I want to keep it. In a cruel trick of nature, however, I am more hairy in other places. While I have not tried this on my ears yet, I have used it to remove nose hairs. I have never had a Brazillian wax or the like. However, I can understand why anyone wanting to shorten the time they will feel pain while undergoing depalitory ministrations (i.e., hair removal) would use wax. It hurts, but only for a few seconds. And since the human body can normally experience only so much pain in a second, this minimizes the aggregate amount of pain one undergoes. This consists of a bag of wax nodules, a container to heat them in, and a strange tool for pulling out the wax in a quick tug. I would say it took a total of fifteen minutes to read instructions, psych myself out, heat the nodules in the container in the microwave, run to the bathroom mirror, insert wax and pulling device, wait for it to harden while pinching the nostril, and yank. That is total for both nostrils, not each. Prodigious quantities of nose hair was my harvest, though my nostril was tender for about ten minutes afterwards. The effects lasted at least three weeks before nature brought new nose hairs into public view. Compared to pulling each nose hair individually this was more efficient. Also, I don't sneeze with the wax, whereas plucking with tweezers or my finger always makes me sneeze. The one drawback is that you might get wax everywhere.
