Struggling with the instructions
After a couple of weeks and a few tries, I still haven’t successfully got the bar to stay in place. Most other reviews don’t seem to have a problem with the instructions, but having thought I had turned everything as tight as possible, on first use, the bar just slipped down the sides of the door. For me, I think I need another person to help me because when you turn the middle rod to tighten, the side sections turn away from the wall, and you haven’t got enough hands to hold them in place while you turn.I have a good solid wooden door frame, so that is not the issue. Also, I can’t see the spirit level without using a mirror, (or need higher step ladders) as it’s on the top of the rod.I would imagine this is a good sturdy bar if able to be installed safely, so would just advise if you are a shorter, not so strong, female, you have someone else on hand to help you n

Watch your weight on a wide door!
Take a few minutes to read the instructions or dive straight in, the mechanics of this pull-up bar are pretty intuitive to work out. Just that reading the instructions will save a bit of time. The locking collars need to be unlocked first and then large adjustments to the width of the bar can be made by spinning the door mounting bracket.Ensure the bar is level with the built-in spirit level and once the mounting brackets are touching the sides of the door jamb, then fine adjustment can be made by twisting the bar in the direction of the arrow. This extends the bar to create sufficient lateral pressure to support the bar when in use. Then flip down the two leavers to extend the lower brackets against the door jambs. This ensures the bar is firmly under tension to support the weight of doing pull-ups.The bar and brackets feel solid and sturdy and the bar is comfortable to hold.It is worth noting that the weight this bar will support will taper off the wider the door frame that it is used in. Right down to a body weight of just under 12st/75Kg. The top-end weight bearing is impressive though I doubt there are many 22st people doing pull-ups!The only other thing I would mention is that you need a tall doorway to use this in unless you do pull-ups from a kneeling position. It can be put up and taken down easily, so it does not need to be left in situ while not in use.

Strong, rock soild pull up bar!
Ive always wanted a home gym but space has always been an issue. Even when it wasnt, other uses for the rooms were always put ahead of a gym. Maybe because my wife doesn’t believe it’ll be used as much as say… a dining room. She might have a point. When I was offered the chance to review the Sportneer Pull Up Bar I jumped at the chance. A pull up frame has been on my shopping list for ages but they take up so much room. This is ideal and can be set up in any doorway in seconds.Tightening it onto the doorway is all very straight forward, it even has a level bubble to ensure its install correctly.Once set up between the door frame I began to do some pull ups. There were noises from the frame which is a little worrying but this is an issue all doorway pull up bars have. I have no doubt that the door frame would give up long before the strength of this bar does!Another issue I ran into is when pulling myself up, the top of the door frame itself is a little close to ones face. Again, this is an issue all pull up bars have and not a fault with this product at all… but definitely something to be aware of.The rubber grips on the end of the bars hold rock solid and the locking mechanism and bar itself is of very high quality… this is a premium pull up bar without a doubt.Overall I think this is a fantastic product thats limited by whatever youre attaching it to. For a 10 minute pull up session it’s great and I can see myself using this a lot. If I do come across any issues in the future Ill be sure to report back! Recommended!

Pulled the paint off my walls
Very unimpressed with this bar. It attached nice and sturdily and appears to work perfectly - until you try to take it down off the wall. The pads on the bar remained stuck to the wall and when I peeled the off they simply pulled the paint off with them. Instructions were followed to the letter. Simply not suitable for the intended use. Instead of encouraging use on walls they should state that it will damage walls.
