What a relief it is to get something that exceeds expectations! Because the Backyard Bum’s glass coffee mugs have a large (16 ounce) capacity, there is room for my beer's foam and my coffee's whipped cream. No overspill! The construction is amazing. I don't know how they made them both lighter and more durable than glass, but they did it. The Backyard Bum’s glass coffee mugs really do keep hot drinks hotter while cool to the touch, and they also prevent condensation from forming on the outer surface when filled with cold drinks. I love this, because nothing is more irritating than coffee turning cold in two or three minutes--except maybe the puddles of condensation that used to form under my beer mug. As advertised: NO MORE COASTERS! Very nifty! I'm about to try out the recipe book and share the outcomes! Stay tuned for updates! It is a relief to escape toxic plastics and drink out of a clean, clear glass mug, whether for coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or smoothies. I can predict what my family and in-laws will be getting as gifts this year! I recommend Backyard Bum’s glass coffee mugs as the best option for anyone who drinks beverages hot or cold. I never anticipated this, but Backyard Bum’s glass coffee mugs also reduced my need for cabinet space. By filling my cabinets with them, I doubled my available cabinet space. No need to have a separate cabinet for beer mugs and another one for coffee mugs, so I got rid of all my old beer and coffee mugs. The Backyard Bum’s glass coffee mugs double duty! An excellent value with unexpected side benefits! Backyard Bum’s glass coffee mugs deserve 6 stars.

If coffee is the nectar of the gods, why shouldn't it be served in a gorgeous hand-blown work of art befitting a deity? Caution: when drinking from this mug publicly, you might experience long, chilly stares from onlookers. Don't be alarmed. You are seeing their covetousness. They can't help it. Raise your mug and take a sip. Let them feel their lack for a few moments as they gaze upon your levitating god-nectar. Cautiously invite them to touch the insulated coolness of the outside--but hold tight in case they are overcome by the understandable urge to grab it from you. Then be kind and tell them where they can get their own. These are big (a full 20 oz) and have apparently upgraded to be sturdier. Mine feels more solid than I expected. I'll admit to a little vanity on this. I bought this mug for its great looks and for the wonderful things I'd put in it. Sort of like I married my wife for her great looks and the wonderful things she already had inside. (Awww) I knew this mug required extra care and I was fine with that. It doesn't go in my dishwasher or microwave. I use it for my 2x daily “bullet coffee” made with an emulsion blender, so the violence happens in a separate steel frothing pitcher (Asin: B07QB3896B). When I pour my yumminess, no more stirring is needed. To be safe I'd use wooden stir sticks if necessary. Coffee stays warm much longer and the outside of the mug stays cool to touch even with my scalding wake-up juice in it. The seller included an insert with a personal email address for any concerns, further selling me on their company--after the sale! Highly recommended. You're welcome! Note: I offered the 2nd mug to my wife but apparently, she likes to burn her hands on her old fashioned, opaque mug that completely obscures her coffee (Can she even be sure what she's drinking?) so for now, I keep my 2nd mug safely stored in its foam packaging in case the unthinkable happens.

When I received my mugs, I was amazed at the quality of the packaging. so many merchants ship in the bare minimum of packaging. The styrofoam was a bit tight, as the mugs were well protected, so I simply opened the top and bottom of the box and slid the styrofoam block out. The mugs are much more substantial than I could see in the photos. Very fine quality and durability. The first thing I did was pour a cold beer and I noted how clear the glass remained and how easy it was to hold the mug without feeling cold. the next day I poured hot coffee into it and could grasp the outside of the mug comfortably. It also kept my coffee much warmer longer than even one of my heavy, thick pottery mugs. Not only are these mugs supremely functional (I will never be without them in my kitchen) but they are so classy they take any drink up a notch in presentation. My wife had a hot chocolate with whipped cream and a sprig of spearmint and a stick of cinnamon and it looked like the cover of a food magazine! I’ve bee searching for mugs like this for a while both on line and in stores and I am glad I pulled the trigger on these. They are better built and more elegant than any of the major brands I checked out in stores. Plus, the price was right!

These are fantastic mugs in size & quality. I removed 4 stars as I went to buy more and they no longer carry these mugs. That's a ding for the seller, not the mug.

I ordered for delivery from USA and my mugs arrived exactly 7 days later in Australia. Superbly packed; I hate to think what couriers would need to subject the package to for breakage to occur. Excellent mugs! It was all about the size for me; my morning long brew is a Nespresso Vertuo Gran Lungo capsule for 230 ml with milk heated and frothed by a Breville BMF600 frother. That makes a big volume and even a 450 ml mug is struggling to hold it all (there's a lot of froth and crema, for mouth feel). Obviously that much beverage requires double wall insulation to keep it drinkably hot. The Backyard Bum 20 ounce mug does the job admirably. That's close to 600 millilitres in universal speak. They are much more strongly built than I expected which was a nice surprise, and a design that is pleasing to the eye. Really, what you read about them in the Amazon blurb is what you get, as advertised.
