Worked well, was easy to use, and I had peace of mind taking my two autistic children to the beach on vacation and they couldn't wander off in the middle of the night. Safety is a big priority for us, and the fact that there is the key lock is perfect. Highly recommend for families in situations similar to ours, and would also be great for families of people with alzheimer's or dementia. Finding this lock was a literal life saver for us. Also, you can't put a price on safety but the fact we got these locks for under $20 was also a great thing for us too, I don't work as my kids are disabled so it really helped not having to break the bank just to keep them safe. It's very small and the pouch it came in made it very easy to transport. Worth every penny!

Hard to use and feel out of the door

This let's us sleep at night bc we have an autistic son who loves to figure out how to "escape "!!! Many sleepless nights on vacations! This is a prayer answered!

Such a great idea Lock works better than expected. My father has dementia and has been going outside in the middle of the night. Not anymore!! What I really like about it is that you don’t have to put any screws in the door or door jam.

My son just moved into his first college apartment with several roommates, and he wanted a way to lock his room from the outside since he isn’t allowed to change the lock. I thought this device would be a great solution. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for his particular door. It requires enough clearance to slide the metal rod in place, and his door didn’t have the space. That said, it feels sturdy and well made, and I think it could be very useful in the right setting. It might be an ideal option for a little extra protection while traveling or staying in a hotel. For us, it wasn’t the right fit, but the idea is clever.

I liked the concept and I think it has a very good quality build to it. However, the bar was not long enough for the thickness of my door. However, the product seems to work as expected would it had not been for that inconvenience.

Didn’t work for my doors at home. But handy to take when staying out of town!

It is too short. It won’t fit in any door

This is a life changer for anyone dealing with toddlers or adult dementia. It works to keep the door locked night and day so caregiver can relax and shower or sleep etc. I wear the key on a lanyard around my neck.

This product is amazing, so happy to find something which didn't require drilling or fixing to walls which would have been no good when staying in hotels. Travelling with a teenager with profound non verbal autism means constant anxiety about whether he can abscond from the property and as a result we are always on high alert and barely sleep. This device does exactly what it is marketed to do (we are in Australia and so far have used it at Quest Hotels) and it fits the doors and is easy to install and use.

No rating. The barrel lock isn't fit for purpose, non of the 2 keys that come with it work the barrel lock at all. Absolutely abysmal customer service - no reply to product enquiry emails not even an acknowledgement. Do not waste your time and effort. Best thing about the experience Amazon repaid me on the day

But of an overkill with the bigger lock tbh. Normally the pin works really well. Excellent product
