Works better than hoped or expected
Okay. I don't often write reviews, but this stuff just works. We bought a hundred+ year old house with a stone chimney that had been capped due to it being unsafe and the front of the fireplace looked like a fire had been lit in the capped chimney. It was black with soot. We recently had the fireplace and chimney fully repointed and restored, but the soot remained. Quick'n Brite Fireplace Brick and Stone Cleaner worked so much better than I could have expected. In the photo below, the right side has been cleaned and the left has not. In the close-up, the left side of the center stone has been cleaned with the cleaner and the right 1/4 has not. The difference was night and day. With simple instructions and an included brush, the application was easy and the results were amazing. I was prepared to scrub really hard, but it didn't require much elbow grease at all. I am really happy with this product. On top of it all, I did the work without gloves and my hands are fine. They feel like they do after I hand scrub some laundry I've been pre-soaking. The bottle says no harsh ingredients or fumes, and I can attest to that. This stuff is really amazing.

Elbow Grease Success
My fireplace hadn’t been cleaned in YEARS. We’re finally resurfacing it so I figured I’d clean the interior as well. I looked through different options and decided to try this brand because of the good reviews and because it came with the scrub brush. Figured it couldn’t make my fireplace any worse, so worth a shot. The product is super simple to use: wet the fireplace bricks, put product on the scrub brush, then scrub the bricks until your muscles burn. Repeat as needed. One tip I learned while doing this is to follow the directions of using hot water. I initially tried with room temperature water, and yes it still works, but not nearly as well. When I heated the water just before the boiling point, it made scrubbing much easier and more effective. I cleaned my fireplace over a two day period since it was so bad to begin with. I also let the product sit on the bricks for the allotted 10 min max each day before scrubbing and wiping it off. It could probably benefit from a couple more scrubs, but it’s getting cold and we’re going to be using the fireplace soon so it’s good enough for now. I plan on really going at it in the spring and getting the bricks looking good then. Thankfully, it comes in a big bottle so I won’t have to buy another bottle, just store the one I have until I need it again. Overall I am pleased with the outcome. It effectively cleaned my fireplace bricks, didn’t stink of harsh chemicals (it smells like finger painting paint), and isn’t toxic. All wins in my book. The only things you need to supply to use this product is the hot water and towels for wiping down after (they recommend microfiber, but I didn’t have any so I used an old towel).

Try it on a small area first
It was easy to apply with the enclosed brush and wiped off with a cloth. No obnoxious odor. Cleaned dirt from finished stones but white marks on unfinished bricks stayed. Maybe need muriatic acid. The finished stones had mop and glo on them and this took off the dirt and some of the polish. We wanted that but not everyone may want it to be stripped off.

Questionable
First I'd like to say it's not a gel. It looks more like a dessert my mother made in the 70s called junket. It doesn't tell you anywhere what's in it, which bothers me. The overall cleaning did work a little, but I'm not sure if that's because I've never actually used a scrub brush and hot soapy water on my fireplace before either. They really need to tell you what's in this stuff, because I'm not convinced this product is doing anything other than bleaching the stone a little. I didn't use their brush, I used a brush attachment that would go on a drill. I think that did more than this product.

Am Amazing Cleaner!!!
HOLY COW!!!! I cannot believe how well this product worked. I hadn't cleaned the fireplace stone in 12 years and had resigned myself to living with the discoloration. After just 15 minutes of very light/easy work, my entire fireplace looks like new. In the picture, the stone on the right was just cleaned... and it looked like the stone on the left when I started. I just used a spray water bottle to get the stone wet, then put a quarter-size blob of cleaner on the included brush. I brushed gently for about 20 seconds, and then sprayed it off with the water bottle. The soot just RAN off. It takes a lot for me to be this impressed.... but, man alive, I can't recommend this product strongly enough!

Disappointing product
Went to use this gel today only to find that it has separated and really doesn't seem to work. It seems that scrubbing with warm water and a brush works really well without the gel. Tried to shake it up to get it to re-combine without success. Will not recommend or buy this again.

Very little work on my part and mo mess.
Absolutely amazing product. It took the black off my fireplace with very little work on my part. Also no mess. I wish I took a before and after picture. I totally recommend this product.

It WORKS!!
Product worked exactly as described! I boiled water in a kettle to have extra hot water to wet the brick with. With gel applied to the brush, a light scrub did the trick!! Then I used a microfiber towel to soak up the excess moisture. Exactly what I was looking for. Pictures are before, half done, and after. I’m very pleased

I have a fireplace with decades of soot buildup from the previous owners. just one round of this took off a LOT of it - still have a bit to go but it looks much better now.

Not impressed with the results. This took an entire bottle of their cleaning solution. Shipping was super slow. A lot of effort and elbow grease for minimal improvement and left some areas dirtier than when I started. A lot of rinsing required. May be ok for small job. But I personally feel like I wasted my money and 2 hrs of my life
