Perfect for college dorm room.
Bought this for son's college dorm room. Works perfectly for this application. Love that it is exhausted out the window and easy for him to drain. He loves that it has a remote and he doesn't have to get out of bed to control. Made that stuffy, old dorm room as cool as can be! Over the summer, we have used it here at home in an upstairs bedroom that never seems to get cool. It's been great. We may purchase a 2nd one for that room if the son takes it back to school.

Cools the room down fast!
This A/C is great, it cools the room down fast. It comes with a window kit that fits any sliding window. I would have given it a five if the Hose for the window kit was at least 12” longer. It comes with a remote and wheels. The noise is moderate on low speed, it could be a little quieter, but for the money it is well worth it.

Cools bedroom quickly
Cools bedroom with cathedral ceiling well. Exhaust hose is cumbersome. Had to cut the expandable windowSeal with a saw to fit window. Other reviews said it was loud..I'm not experiencing this , it has a quiet hum that is pleasant. The exhaust hose must not bend or curve per the instructions but mine is curved /bent to fit my window. It is attached to the lower 3rd of the machine so it has to bend to reach the window!! Remote control is great. Nice options for sleep timer and wake and 3 fan speeds.

Inefficient connection to window and loud operation
My central AC is too small for my house (courtesy of the previous owners) and so I bought this unit to assist. I have it set up in my bedroom and can honestly say I am disappointed. The AC works fine so far. But it gets a one star because it is seriously loud and the connection for the window is terrible. As far as noise, its comparable to the old hotel units. Which is strange... considering those units are much larger. Its a machine hum that doesn't quiet down even when its on low speed. I will have it on sleep mode right now, and it did nothing for the machine noise. For the window connection, by terrible I mean that for one it isn't a one size fits all solution. I had to jerry rig mine together and it is still subpar. The basis is due to the design, there is a significant amount of holes and space left open to the outside and in Florida this is very bad. I will have to buy an additional piece to fix this (as well as a lock to keep my window shut). Im honestly worried about lizards crawling into the piece that lets the hot air out as there is nothing that prevents this (its just an open hole with no mesh or grate). All in all I wouldn't buy this again, I would try for a unit designed to be quieter and prepare by buying pieces to better fit to windows since apparently the designers of these things aren't afraid of bugs getting inside.

Compressor is noisy when in cooling mode
I recently bought a Della 10K BTU portable AC. The installation was super easy and I was able to set it up in 20mins. I’m satisfied with cooling as well. It cools my room in 30mins which is super impressive. However, the compressor is too noisy. Whenever I put the AC in cool mode, the compressor starts making loud noises. This stops after sometime but then it starts back again after some time. This is super annoying during my sleep time. I wake up in the middle of the night due to this loud noise.Any solution on how to fix this?

Drainage nightmare.
I wish more than anything I had read further reviews before purchasing this AC. I wanted an AC that was also a good dehumidifier but this one failed me. It fills up in about an hour or two and the bottom drain hole is so close to the ground it’s impossible not get your floor soaked. I had to wheel the entire unit over the top step of my stairs and place a plastic bucket underneath. Oh and the directions are useless and make no sense at all. I wish I could return this and get my $300 back for a normal window AC but they do not accept returns. Do yourself a favor and get a unit with an easy draining system.

GREAT AC
i brought this AC for my mom and it comes on time, i really like the design, looks simple. the installation is simple, the manual tell you everything you need to know. the window slider was universal fit, it fits most of windows in my place, easily move room to room. the exhaust duct nicely prevent hot air leaking. this AC doesn't have the "machine smell" when it keep running for a long time.Overall, it is great unit, you won't regret.

Cools down my windowless office!
We are in a temporary office space, in Manhattan, In the Summer. we have a small opening in the door frame about the door, and this vented / fitted perfectly. Keep my office cool and staff happy till we move in to our new space. I also one of these at home and it cools down my 2000 sq ft space really well. not too loud.
