Neewer does it again!! I love this thing. I use it to shoot shorts all the time and it is the perfect mid point between the cheapy things designed for mobile phones and the crazy expensive ones for broadcast. Does everything it claims and does it well. Easily accommodates my Lenovo tablet - IN PORTRAIT!! So it works really well for giving yourself a narrow width to minimise eye-scanning movements and plenty of height to see what's coming. It's really easy to set up once you get your head around it, and the carry case is great. It's a little on the cheap side being just fabric and foam, but it's sturdy enough to throw in the boot (trunk) and take on a job. The remote is also pretty decent, if a little basic. But it works and connects easily. The software is also pretty good if not amazing. I do really appreciate the cloud file management though. Just upload the doc on your writing device and it'll be available on your teleprompter device. Be nice if we could just link to Google Docs and avoid the cloud entirely, but it's perfectly good enough.

It is sturdy, well made and really versatile for different cameras. Works brilliantly with my Sony ZVE10 paired with my iPad. The free software is day, intuitive and just works…no hassle and no fuss…and it comes with a decent quality case. Loving it.

Couldn’t fault this piece of kit. The teleprompt comes in its own padded carry case, a cloth and Bluetooth remote. It’s served its purpose well across multiple shoots, and is a great size for both transporting it due to its carry case and lightweight, and also provides excellent visibility of reading from the screen. My one negative on this product however is that my iPad doesn’t feel utterly safe once locked in. It can sometimes be a bit wobbly and if it’s knocked, risks falling off. So I’d suggest keeping your device in a decent case.

This is a substantial teleprompter, definitely a case of getting what you pay for. Everything about this is substantial and smooth. The front glass is large, and the reflected iPad is easy to read. The zip up rear and the hood are all well made and the zip part feels solid. The metal base with the adjustable height stand is fantastic and easy to adjust, and the camera mounts via a manfrotto plate. The whole thing just combines to add quality to your setup. You will need a decent, manfrotto base tripod for this, but you probably already know that, hence looking at this over the more basic models!

I was skeptical at first to get a larger 14" Teleprompter because of the weight, however this teleprompter is an incredible value, especially with the Black Friday Sale, compared to other brands. The teleprompter is made for mirrorless cameras up to cinemarigs due to the heavyduty, adjustable baseplate and sled. On the front tray it also allows for larger devices like tablet or smaller monitors. I use it all the time to see the frame when filming myself and for projecting Video Calls. The device, the App and the remote are very intuitive and a breeze to setup. I cant recommend this product enough for anyone looking to streamline their processes (avoiding countless retakes) And stepping up their production value.

The Neewer teleprompter is a fantastic tool for smooth and professional presentations. Setup was quick, and the glass provides clear, easy-to-read text without affecting video quality. Works perfectly with my tablet and DSLR. A must-have for YouTubers and presenters. Highly recommended!

An absolute game changer for somebody, like me, who puts together teaching videos. It is best used with a mid size video camera or dslr. I bought a couple of little adaptions so that I could also use my phone to do some of the filming.

I’m writing about both X12B and X12II Firstly about X12B (don’t waste your money on it and pay a little more for X12II) The quality is good, but it has one major drawback. The gimbal mount is directly attached to the body, so unlike a tripod, you can’t detach the top plate, attach it to the bottom of the camera, and then easily slide it onto the rail. To mount the camera on the gimbal, you have to randomly place it on the screw and tighten it underneath, and if your camera is a bit heavy like mine, this process becomes much harder. On the other hand, X12II is a great deal, more expensive but worth your money. They solve every drawback I mentioned about X12B and the case is way better.

Lo primero que debes saber si eres nueva o nuevo en el ambiente de los teleprompters es que un mayor tamaño no necesariamente implica que sea mejor. Por eso, la sugerencia es que verifiques primero qué necesita tu proyecto antes de elegir. ¿DE QUÉ TAMAÑO ES TU PROYECTO? (Y TU ESPACIO) Para creadoras y creadores de escritorio, que graban con su webcam, la solución podría venir en apps sencillas (como Cueprompter) que facilitan la lectura desde la pantalla de la lap o monitor, evitando la necesidad siquiera de un dispositivo como este. También, es posible que, versiones más pequeñas en diseños que se montan en la lente de la cámara y operan con celulares (disponibles también de Neewer) , la necesidad se resuelva. LA HERRAMIENTA NO SUSTITUYE LA PRÁCTICA Es importante comprender que, en este caso como en otros tantos, no es la herramienta la que resuelve mágicamente una necesidad de habilidad comunicativa, sino la práctica constante, estrategias y técnicas del talento (quien esté frente a la cámara) para transmitir de manera convincente los mensajes (hay videos en Youtube que orientan al respecto). CONSTRUCCIÓN ROBUSTA A CAMBIO DE... Construcción robusta y práctica para sus dimensiones, esta versión en específico permite el uso de lentes más amplias pidiendo, a cambio, un tripié robusto (preferentemente que soporte de 8 a 10 kgs), y mayor distancia de la persona que lo usa. DETALLES CON EL SOFTWARE DE NEEWER Un particular que no suele mencionarse, viene con la app gratuita propietaria de Neewer y el control remoto que esta marca incluye para todos sus teleprompters. Entre las funciones básicas que resultan útiles en cualquier software de teleprompter está la posibilidad de manipular márgenes. Hacerlos más estrechos, por ejemplo, facilita que la lectura demande al talento menos recorrido visual y que permita una lectura más natural frente a la lente. Dado que la versión actual de la app no cuenta con esta función, su funcionalidad se ve limitada. No es un requerimiento extra ni premium (la mayoría de apps básicas para teleprompters lo tienen). Sin embargo, para las y los desarrolladores de la app en Neewer no resultó relevante. Además, dado que su control remoto está diseñado para funcionar sólo con su app propietaria, no facilita compensar el particular controlando apps alternativas gratuitas que sí lo permitirían. El detalle podría resolverse con una sencilla actualización en su app. Veremos si Neewer vuelve la mirada a su público para solucionar este detalle.

When I opened the box, I was surprised by how minimal the contents were. Inside, there was only the main casing that mounts onto a tripod with the camera, and a small Bluetooth remote that connects to a smartphone or tablet. That’s it—nothing else. I paid ₹10,500 for this in January 2026, and considering what’s included, the price does feel inflated. That said, I understand the reasoning. This is a niche product meant mainly for creators who need to read scripts on camera, so demand is limited and the company likely prices it higher to stay profitable. Still, the contents don’t look like something that should cost over ₹10,000. One more thing worth mentioning: when I received the Amazon package, the outermost seal was already broken, suggesting possible tampering. This was concerning at first. However, after opening the box, everything inside appeared untouched and unused. I’m not sure why the outer seal was open, and while it raises suspicion, there were no signs that the product itself had been disturbed. The build quality is outstanding. The finish is flawless, the metal construction feels solid and reliable, and there is genuinely nothing to complain about in terms of quality. From a craftsmanship standpoint, the product is excellent. Buy without hesitation.
