QuickStart LLC
While it is difficult to relay specific and accurate information, to all readers, about a process that differs from state to state, Mr Lewis seems to pull it off. This book is very informative and you don’t have to be an attorney or an accountant to understand it. Thankfully, the area that relies on specificity and accuracy - that being Federal taxes - is relevant no matter in which state your business is registered. Also helpful are the valuable documents that the author (or publisher) offers as a free bonus. With a bit of effort you should be able to produce your own Business Plan or Operating Agreement for which an attorney might charge big money to produce for you.

WORTH THE READ
Worth the read. Very extensively explained . Some points could have been explained better and I had to use another site to further clarify but other than that these are things that everyone needs to start learning

What a way to start. Great for any beginner to get started...
The LLC QuickStart Guide offers a clear, beginner-friendly overview of the LLC formation process, making it an invaluable resource for aspiring entrepreneurs. From filing Articles of Organization to understanding tax implications and safeguarding personal assets, the book covers each step with precision and clarity. Author Lewis, a seasoned small business attorney who has advised over 250 companies, brings both credibility and practical insight to the subject matter. What truly sets this guide apart is its ability to be both comprehensive and concise. It addresses essential topics—such as protecting personal property from business liabilities and selecting the appropriate tax structure—without overwhelming the reader. Legal terminology is translated into accessible language, and the guidance provided is immediately actionable, regardless of the state in which the LLC is being formed. An added advantage is the inclusion of digital resources, such as an LLC resource library, which further enhances the learning experience. The book also references QuickClips™ videos that visually explain key concepts, adding another layer of clarity. The spiral-bound format (available as an option) is especially convenient for frequent reference during the formation process. While the guide is well-rounded, it could benefit from additional real-world case studies or examples of more complex scenarios. That said, for its intended audience—those new to business formation—it strikes an excellent balance between simplicity and substance.Overall, the LLC QuickStart Guide is a valuable and empowering tool for anyone looking to start or manage a business. With its clear explanations, expert perspective, and supportive resources, it is highly recommended for first-time business owners seeking confidence and clarity in the LLC formation journey.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This "LLC QuickStart Guide" is a decent resource for anyone looking to understand the absolute basics of forming a Limited Liability Company. It successfully demystifies some of the initial jargon and provides a clear, step-by-step overview that can be genuinely helpful for complete novices. The information on what an LLC is, its potential benefits (like liability protection), and the general process of filing seems accurate and is presented in an easy-to-digest format. However, where it falls a bit short is in its depth and practical application. While it gives you the "what" and the "why" of an LLC, it often skims over the crucial "how" for specific situations. For instance, it touches on operating agreements but doesn't provide enough detail or varied examples to make someone feel confident in drafting their own. Similarly, while it mentions legal and tax implications, it doesn't delve into the nuances that small business owners will inevitably face.Think of this guide as a helpful roadmap for the first mile of a long journey. It will get you pointed in the right direction and make you aware of the immediate turns. But to truly navigate the complexities of forming and running a successful LLC, you'll definitely need to consult more comprehensive resources, state-specific legal requirements, and likely, a professional. It's a good starting point, but consider it an introduction, not an exhaustive manual.
