Good stuff a bit narrow but does the job.

I found desoldering really frustrating at first—this was my first go at it, especially working on electronics. But after getting this solder wick, everything clicked into place. It’s easy to handle, works quickly, and made removing solder so much more straightforward. The flux core really helps it grab the solder cleanly without making a mess, and it’s become an essential part of my toolkit now. If you’re new to soldering or just want a reliable wick that makes the job easy, this one’s brilliant.

Smaller than I thought but at 2.5mm width I am not sure what I was expecting.

Desolders

I am bad at desoldering and was not using leaded solder that is easier to melt and remove but the wick is fine and seemed to work alright. It is a little thin but i guess it's supposed to be for desoldering small components.

Not a large amount of product supplied. But then I only purchased to do a small amount of desoldering on an Instrament cluster connecting plug on my 2008 Ford Focus. A known common fault where the lead free solder used forms hairline cracks and intermitant disconections between connector and circuit board. The solder wick it's self is narrower in width and finer in guadge than I'm used too. But then again modern day elecronic circuit boards are a size smaller than I remember Never the less, with a precise good application of heat from my solering iron tip to the wick resting on the plug connector pins the old lead free solder melted, allowing it to be drawn into the wick cleaning the pins and board connectors of solder. Resoldering with fresh solder gave a sucesfull repair. Worked well for my needs and I'm happy to recomend to anyone undertaking a similar small desoldering repair. I do still have plenty of fresh wick left over for fuyture use.
