Lots of "1 star" philistines don't seem to understand how it's supposed to work
I have always wanted one, as I know this is the exact device that 99% of Italians have in their kitchens, to make their morning coffee. And it doesn't disappoint. Very easy to use, and it brews an espresso every bit as good as a £1500 machine. And I'd say it brews enough espresso, to make at least 2 cups of coffee - so enough for you and a guest. A few things, that have been mentioned already:1: It was designed in 1880, and the design hasn't changed since 1930 - it's supposed to appear basic2: The lid is supposed to be loose3: It's supposed to be relatively difficult to use - you need a little skill to operate4: One guy returned because it brewed too quickly - you don't understand how to use it. See point 65: Once guy returned his as there was some dust on the lid - it's probably been in a warehouse for a while, buddy6: Use hot (but not boiling) water, to start the process. If the water is cold the beans will burn, if the water is boiling the brewing process will happen to quickly.7. Leave the lid open until it starts sputtering, and then immediately close8. If you want to take it up a notch, also start grinding your own beans. The coarseness of the grind greatly affects the flavour of the espresso - a professional coffee shop will use the same uniform grind, but you yourself can make the esppresso stronger or weaker, based on how long you grind for

Top quality.
Bought as a fathers day gift for my dad. I'd spent almost 2 grand on him on a computer for christmas, and he got more excited over this. Apparently works great, takes it camping and for cycling trips. Says it looks stunning in person and proudly keeps it on display.

Perfect coffee
If you enjoy good coffee this is a must, super easy to make. Coffee just as good as anything you will get from a coffee machine, looks the part as well

Great bit of kit
Blending power? Not sure why that's included as there's no blending... but if it could blend I'm sure it would be great at it.Fantastic bit of kit. Huge fan of the moka pot as it's a nice twist on the traditional espresso with a full body and high caffeine hit.Perhaps the only thing I've noticed is a tiny bit of water bleed outside the seal during heating up, however I'm unsure if that's the kit itself or me filling the pot with too much water.Looks great though, good pour and easy enough to clean

Good looking version of the tried and tested Moka Pot
Bialetti Moka Pots are tried and tested (I’ve had a few) and this one is made to the usual high standard and makes a lovely cup of coffee, with which I start my day - using illy Arabica Moka Pot grind. The bonus with this pot is the wonderful colour scheme.

All you need for a great coffee ritual
This is my second Bialetti Moka coffee pot. I use it every morning for my coffee ritual. It makes a fantastic cup of coffee every time. They are simple in their construction and easy to clean and maintain. This one, in its Italian colours, has even greater appeal - it's a little kitsch but I love it. You can spend a lot more on coffee making devices, but you'll be hard pressed to get a better coffee. Pretty much every Italian home has one or more, can they all be wrong? Buy with total confidence and enliven your morning routine.
