eye opening and compelling
There is a lot to consider in this book, and the author makes an effort to provide a substantial list of sources to further explore the claims he makes. The extent of corruption, selfishness and greed outlined in the authors account of EHMs is quite overwhelming, nevertheless, this is balanced with lots of practical steps we can make to see lasting transformation. The writing quality is average and at times the author borders on hubris, but overall, his message and mandate is clear and compelling. Worth the read for sure.

The judicial system truly is corrupt!
There's plenty of truth in this movie but it barely touches on how truly corrupt the entire judicial system is.They've taken power that they were never given and we allowed it to happen, they need to be reeled back in and everyone who takes an oath to the United States Constitution needs to take it seriously. It is the Supreme Saw of the Land meaning no law that congress makes can go against the constitution, it must be amended.

Big business at it again!
Well written revelations about the oil devastation wrought by oil companies exploring for oil in South America. It is impressive for the fact the author was an executive for one of the companies serving to rationalize oil exploration in ecological sensitive areas of the world. His position makes the book that much more authoritative and consequently frightening. It is worth reading as a factual account of how large corporations behave when in pursuit of their single minded goals. It is of course desirable for business to have strong focus on their mission but in this case corporations forgiving all behavior to support maximum return on investment with no thought of consequences to nature or native communities.

Great read. And unfortunately true.
My eyes have been open for quite a while already, so to me this is not an eye opener. This is something that would assure you that you were right suspecting about many dirty things that governments have done. The sad thing is that nothing has changed. In fact, as the book explains, China is following the footsteps of the U.S. now and doing the same trying to "takeover" the poor and unsuspecting countries. The problem is that the people who are doning these kind of things are above the law, somewhere in a dark room, or in the middle of the desert they tie you up bit you up and kill you. And there is nothing that you can do to save yourself let alone a country. Read it, understand it, be open minded and if you are strong enough and you have the will and the energy... try changing the world. I know that I can't do it. I tried talking to people but they are brain dead, "give me my toaster" type of personalities. Good luck to humans. The psychopaths rule the world unfortunately.

2 books in 1 .. Gripping autobiography followed by pathetic diary of guilt propaganda
This was a very fascinating autobiography of Mr. Perkins career. Some of the stories may be over dramatized, but I find them largely believable. Full of dark conspiracies, sabotage, assasinations, corruption, and political names we all know it is a hard book to put down once you start reading.I only gave four stars because the author gets obsessive on his leftist political propaganda, some of which makes no sense. He blames the free market with the evils of the IMF and World Bank. Somehow, he missed that free marketers have vehemently opposed the IMF and Worldbank's evils since they were created at Bretton Woods. Central banking was opposed by free marketers at least as far back as von Mises. True free marketers like Henry Hazlitt, Leonard Read, Ayn Rand and the Objectivist movement opposed Bretton Woods and the Worldbank/ IMF. Institutes like Cato and Heritage Foundation resist or outright oppose IMF today.Because of this obsessive guilt and resulting political agenda, Perkins spends the second half of the book demonizing the very group that he should see as an ally for his very admirable moral concern.

Greedy people
Absolute must read for every American and the World Population for that matter, it will, I believe help each and everyone of them to understand how this world of ours works!!!!!! one has to take ones hat off, to John Perkins for casting aside his past actions and reversing his life and actions for the betterment of the human race in helping us all to understand how the presumptuous powerful and greedy individuals and globalist want to run this beautiful world of ours for their own well being, than for the betterment of all mankind. it brings to mind how the British Leaders, gloated and boasted that the Sun never set on the British Empire, while at home in the UK the General Populous lived (or tried to survive) in Abject poverty and most still do, sadly. It never really benefited the people only those rich and powerful. So very well done John Perkins, for showing us the real action that is being carried out by the so called leaders of this World. Keep up the good work.
