Hurrah! No plastic! :)
YES!! This is an excellent kettle. I have been looking for a stainless steel kettle with NO plastic in contact with the water. There are very few options on the market, and they are either £200 or they’re inexpensive like this one and usually of poor quality. This kettle, while inexpensive, is surprisingly sturdy, it looks sharp, it boils water QUIETLY, and the temp control is also ideal for when you want to make different types of hot drinks. I highly recommend this. It’s a substantial upgrade from my last all-steel kettle from a different brand. I recommend boiling a full kettle of water 4-5 times before using.

Trully no plastic in contact with water
I don't review much but I spent soooo long looking for a kettle that has zero plastic inside that I must share, for others with the same quest.Stop looking, this is the one! It does has a little bit of plastic on the outside, and even the hinge of the lid is in plastic BUT it is not in contact with the water or the steam collecting under the lid.The inside is made of one single stainless steel jug without silicone seal! The lid is also stainless steel. Hooray! In addition, it looks rather elegant and has a cute logo, can be set to various temperatures, can keep the water warm at the chosen temperature, and the exterior has a finish that doesn't mark with finger prints! It boils fast - and if you need a lower temperature, it gently slows down to not overheat the water :)Mega bonus: It's very affordable!A few cons that really shouldn't put you off:- the temperature setting can be fiddly and it's easy to make a mistake. But only before the 1st coffee of the day :)- The push button to open the lid is made of cheap chrome plastic - why?!- It doesn't power off automatically, you need to long press a button.- It doesn't have a mesh/filter (I know most are made of plastic but a spout with holes could have worked). But as said, it's really minor when you've been looking for a kettle for 10 years!!!! I am happy.Voilà! Enjoy!

Interesting unclear function...
So... seems to work pretty well! You can boil the water at full speed (nice and quiet, live temp display, boils reasonably fast, all good). You can boil then have it cool and be maintained at a temperature (between 40-95c, again, all good)... or you can set the temperature control and let it heat. This is where the potential problem lies, if you set the temperature then turn it on, the kettle will not heat at full speed if it's set between 40-60ish, it slowly creeps up to the temperature the holds it there. For higher temperatures the temperature control works as you'd expect, heating quickly then slowing as it approaches the set temperature to avoid over shooting it. Probably not an issue for most people since hot drinks tend to be 80c+ but something that's worth noting. So far no leaks, pours accurately and the lid open button works well with it opening pretty wide (yes the button is plastic but it's 30 quid so 🤷🏻). The external body is made from plastic but the finish is matte and looks good, fingerprints don't show too much. Handle is nice and thick and comfortable to use. The inside is all metal. Didn't come with any weird smells or taste but do fill/boil/empty a couple of times before first use just to get rid of any dust etc. from the factory. My only other minor gripe is that there's no fill window which would have been nice but that's clear from the listing and I knew this when I bought it, so no points deducted for that. But it would be a nice feature!Hopefully they read this and adjust the programming in future, since there's a chip in it, this slow warm function could easily be adjusted for future models.

Value for money and quality materials
I have bought “cheap” kettles previously so I wasn’t holding out much hope for this being much better. I have to confess the only cheap thing about this kettle is the price!!The quality of materials used is 10/10. It is sturdy, it’s easy to set up and easy to use. There is no plastic inside the kettle which is also a bonus. It is genuinely a star bar. The keep warm function is easy to use just hold in the button until the desired temperature is selected. It does make a clicking sound when it needs to reheat the water back up. Which takes some getting used to as previous kettles I’ve owned it has always reboiled the water.I also like the fact the outside of the kettle doesn’t get hot when the water has boiled. It’s warm to the touch but it doesn’t get too hot. There are a couple of negative things about this kettle, which I do think need to be pointed out. The first one being there is no outside fill level so if you need to see how much water is left after boiling the kettle it could be quite dangerous. The second negative is there is no scale catcher in the spout like some kettle have. This is definitely a product I would recommend.value for money, easy to use and looks good!

simple to use, but has one major flaw
I bought this to replace a glass one, which I accidentally broke. I wnated a vairable temp one, as I like my coffee at around 70oC. This is very easy to use, just press boil button to boil to 100oC or press keep warm button and select temp you want. It reaches temp very quickly, but has one very bad flaw. If you set it to a temp, say 70oC, then lift and pour the water once it reaches the temp, It still remembers the last setting, so when you replace the kettle in the base,it will just keep boiling the water to the temp you set for hours, wasting a huge amount of electricity. This only happens with the keep warm function, not the boil. As long as you remember to press cancel button, once you have used it, its fine, or dont replace it on the base until you need to use it again.

Very slick
Such a cool kettle. Love the matt black finish and the double walled construction keeps water hot for longer than your traditional kettle. You can also program the keep warm temperature. We've not had to use it as we tend to only boil what we need.
