Biba: The Fashion Brand That Defined A Generation

Beautiful book I’ve been waiting months for. Has a scratch right on paper cover. Other than that, beautifully made with vibrant pictures. I can’t wait to dive in.

I have 7 books on Biba so far & each one is beautiful but this is stunning. Lots of images, sketches, letters etc from Barbara's archives & very informative chapters. Gorgeous matt jacket revealing a stunning orange hard cover. I have such wonderful memories of Biba & treasure my items & my all my books. Highly recommended for younger people interested in vintage fashion & the Biba lifestyle & those of us who were there. Just wish the driver hadn't left the book on my doorstep for any passer by to see when I was actually at home!

I love this book - just the cover takes me right back to those delightful shops with such lovely clothes! I can recall just spending whole afternoons just sitting in the window in the Church Street shop or later, lounging in more comfort in the first High Street shop. Strangely, I don’t recall relaxing in the ‘ Big’ Biba, usually too busy examining goods, there was so much to see! And also, I often bumped into friends there.

I love this book, well researched and written, so informative even when you think you knew everything about Biba, and the photos are gorgeous.

Bought as a present for my daughter after she saw the exhibition in London. The book is beautifully illustrated and has great stories from those who worked at Biba as well as interviews with Babrara Hulanicki herself. For anyone who remembers Biba or those who love fashion this is a book not to be missed!
