I wouldn't know how the product is, as I sent it back. I'm sure it was what I would have needed, if my plan did not work. The reason I sent it back was because I hard wired a dedicated 220v outlet for my 100% purebred Italian espresso maker, and it works.

I don't have occasion to use something like this often, but when it comes up, it's nice to have. It works well, putting out the voltage exactly where I'd expect it to be. The only thing I'm a bit confused about is their pricing schedule. $80 for the 1000 watt, $90 for the 1500 watt, and $90 for the 2500 watt. For the price difference, I really don't recommend the 1000 watt version when the 2500 watt version can be had for $10 more over the 1000 watt and the same price (for some reason) as the 1500 watt. I would only get the 1000 watt version if you absolutely know you'll never, ever need the 1500+ watts for $10 more bucks. Which seems silly to me. Other than their pricing schedule that makes next to no sense, the unit seems solid and will let me run the occasional 220-240v stuff I occasionally come across.

For some reason I have European power electronics around my house and no way to charge them. So I picked up this too give me the ability to charge The 220v European electronics. It works perfect It allows you to plug into 110 US outlet and output 220 European outlet.
