It Is Working So Far
The magnet broke off the old holder. It was a different kind with a rivet in the middle of the magnet and holder. It broke at that rivet. I do not know how this one attaches, but I hope it holds up better than the last kind. When the old one broke, I went to a truck stop. The only thing they sold was one that was plastic, and it stuck on the dash with sticky tape. It stuck to the dash just fine, but it did not stick to itself. It left a mess on the dash, but it would not stick to the plastic holder. This magnetic holder works great, just like the last one did. That is not to say they will not slide or even fall off a couple time a year, but big deal; I just pick it up, stick it back on and hook the mike back on it. That is not bad considering you are in the truck all day long. These magnetic holders are the best thing I found, and you do not have to drill into your dashboard.

Magnet needs to be stronger
Works okay, but tends to slide down if downward pressure is put on the microphone. Probably, most people will not be concerned about this. It's annoying for me because I often have need to press down on a button on top of the mic, while the mic is in the holder.

Worked great!
Just what I needed. Thanks.

sort of works
this works however, the magnet just sits in the metal channel and so when you pull the mic away sometimes the magnet falls out and that is a bad design however, its fixable by simply applying some silicone to the back of the magnet (or epoxy) and then its useful. you can bend the mic holder to adjust the holding capacity for the specific microphone and application.. there are probably better ones available but this one - other than the magnet gluing needed is adequate its a bit overpriced too. You can probably make your own out of a magnet and a standard mic clip.

Poor quality
Items do not secure the mic in place. Magnet is not glued, taped with 2 sided tape or some sort of way to make the Magnet stay onto the clip tht holds the mic. Poor poor quality, workmanship. Want my money back

Just add glue, they're fine
As everyone has noted you really need to glue the mount to the magnet, I used RTV. After that they are well made, the magnet is strong and the clip looks very Std size. I use it on a metal workbench where I want a Mic accessible while working on things.

Good buy for me!
Not good as a mag mount but i didnt buy for that reason. O modified them by removing the mag and grindind the lips off. I then applied 2 sided tape and installed them on the dash of my puckup. I didnt want to drill holes in my dash so this worked perfect! I have been a ham for 30 years and i will have radios in whatever i drive. I live on dirt roads and talk every day. The mounts are sturdy and the tape holds them in place great!

Low quality & poor design.
Rough cut magnet with fragmentscrumbling off the edges. The mount slides off the magnet since it is not fastened in any way. Too much hassle to return it, so I'll likely clean it up and glue the magnet on to make it usable.
