This has become one of my top shelf fragrances. They say it's inspired by Santal 33, but let me tell you this...save a couple hundred dollars and buy this fragrance! It's so close to the original I can't see why you would spend the extra money for it! The sandlewood is present and lasting. Such a nice scent and lasting. If you like Santal, you'll love this because you can wear it all you want without the guilt of $$$$ flying out the window. LOL Great value!

Lovely smell

I have a few scents by Arlyn and they're all impressive for the price. This one is no different. It is inspired by Le Labo's Santal 33, and really is very close to the original. It's definitely a unisex scent, it doesn't lean too hard in either direction, and would make sense to smell on anyone, not just a specific sex. It is warm, woody, leathery, and smokey, and is a real head-turner of a scent. The projection is good, several feet, and the performance is great, I can smell it on my skin for about 6 hours, and even longer on clothing. The original fragrance is over $300, so the price tag on this Arlyn version is an incredible deal. You get the same scent, arguably better performance, and at a fraction of the cost. This one is definitely worth trying if you're into Santal 33.

This is marketed as a fragrance for men and women. It has clear feminine vibes. I'm a woman but I don't think that I will wear it again. It smells like menthol and medicinal cream to me. I won't rate it lower because scent is such a personal preference. It is somewhat monotone in scent. To me, it doesn't smell as good as other sandalwood scents I've experienced.

As soon as you take this out of the box, you can already smell it. It's truly a warm sandalwood scent. The bottle is really nice and gives a certain look, especially with the wooden cap. It reminds me of something you'd find traveling in a little boutique. The scent would be perfect because you'd wear it as soon as you got it and then every time you'd smell it, it would make you think of that little shop and that specific place. To me, it smells like it would be a great scent for summer nights on the beach. It's not beachy by any means, but just gives me that idea. It would be great as a unisex scent. As for longevity, it lasts for hours and hours because of how strong it is. It lingers on the skin for a long time and feels like a cozy hug. If you love sandalwood, you should definitely pick this up.

I did not know what to expect when I read that this was designed to be a "unisex" perfume, and yet, they managed to pull it off. The Arlyn perfume bottle itself is attractive in an upscale, minimalist way--it would look good on anyone's dresser--with a smooth-finished block of wood for the top and equally smoothly finished glass container. It sprays a fine mist that gives good control of the amount of fragrance.I don't know enough about scents to say how accurate the description is. But it's a complex, alluring scent that was hard for me to place. It has hints of this and that in a beautiful mixture--just a hint floral but not enough to say it's a floral scent, just a hint of warmth, but not enough to be overpowering. Balanced, deep, and wonderful--and not allergenic for me (many perfumes make me want to sneeze, not this one).Pleasantly surprised, and different than anything I've tried to date.

It’s pleasant enough but I should have listened to reviewers who said it did not smell of sandalwood- it does NOT. It’s really misnamed because the fragrance of sandalwood is not redolent. But it’s pleasant enough and it was on sale- but I would have returned it because of lack of true sandalwood aroma but it was not returnable
