Q: What is the max load at 20mA output?

The max load is dependent on the ability to generate voltage. Since the max voltage output is 20VDC, that would imply that it should be able to support a load of 1K ohms, although I have not tested this. If you wanted to be conservative, assuming up to 800 ohms should be safe.

Q: To be clear this will GENERATE 0-100mV so I could simulate a thermocouple?

Yes you can use it for that, it generates 0-100mV with 0.02% accuracy. We do sell another calibrator, the eC370T, that has functions to simulate various types of thermocouples in addition to generating voltages and currents, you might want to check that out. With the eC370T you can key in a temperature and it generates the corresponding voltage based on the thermocouple type selected. The eC380V (this product) does not have this feature, but it has higher accuracy.
