DEWALT Atomic Compact Series 16 ft. Tape Measure (DWHT38116S)

As a professional specialty contractor, I rely heavily on my tools to be both accurate and durable. The 16' DeWalt tape measure has exceeded my expectations in every way. Right out of the box, you can feel the quality and sturdiness of this tape measure. The case is robust and fits comfortably in your hand, and the tape itself is made of a heavy-duty material which doesn’t bend or crinkle easily, even at long distances. The standout feature for me has to be the locking mechanism. It holds the tape securely at any length, which is crucial when I am measuring large spaces and need my measurements to be spot on. Plus, the blade retraction is smooth and controlled, which prevents the tape from snapping back too quickly and hurting me - SAEFTY FIRST! Another aspect worth mentioning is the bold, clear markings on the tape. They are easy to read from any angle, which minimizes reading errors and speeds up the job. At my age, the bigger the numbers - the easier it is to read!!! Whether I’m measuring interiors for installations or working on outdoor projects, this tape measure has become my go-to tool. My husband is a contractor and like more lightweight tape measures as to not pull down with weight on his waist band of pockets and this one is not too heavy, compact as described and has 2 locking settings. Plus the large numbers with the fraction sizes are easy to read. Great overall durable tape measure. Plus Dewalt has a lifetime warranty or guarantee.

Finally the perfect Tape Measure. Been through a lot to find one I actually like. This has the finger slot below so i can control the speed as the tape retracts, which is a must for me as im terrified of these things... The lock works perfect to hold the tape in place. its pretty compact and sturdy. double sided and most importantly perfectly marked fractions. There isn't a thing I would change about this tape, get it!

I’ve used many different brands and lengths of Tape Measures, but I rate this 16’ DeWalt at the top! Unless you need to measure 25’ or 30’, the size and features of the DeWalt 16’ are hard to beat. The increments of measure are ideal for my woodworking hobby, and the easy-lock works great, but the quick- hold feature on bottom really comes in handy. If you don’t know what I’m referring to, a section of the tape is exposed on bottom of the casing and you can quickly and easily hold the extended tape in place with your finger while making your mark, then simply let go. No lock & unlock required. Good quality and Highly recommended!

Great tape. Not to heavy not to light. Just right😂. Everyday use

I’ve been using this for the past half year and it’s been keeping up great! The length will get you through for most jobs and the Retractibility is nice and spring. Only downside is the thickness of it not really holding up all the well when you have to measure alone (and when you’re measuring something wide) Other then that, an all around good product. Definitely worth the money.

Love these, as a drywaller/carpenter I am used to use the stanley fatmax and these are the closest thing you can find that are similar to them for almost half the price. Great tape
