Compact, well built, bright
Looks well built, charger works well, and it's extremely bright. The switch is precise and easy to use with one hand. Love the small fornat for spearfishing. Can't wait to test it in the water.

Simple and Bright!
The DL02 is another great flashlight from Wurkkos. Created with diving in mind, the flashlight has a rotary switch used to access the 3 different modes, on one side is low and medium, which is 300 and 1000 Lumens respectively, or you can switch it the other way to get high mode, which is a full 3000 lumens! The flashlight comes with a smooth reflector and an SFT70 led, so you get a beautiful beam that is rated for an impressive 496m of throw. The smooth reflector means you also get 61500 candela. I haven’t had a chance to use it underwater, but its construction makes me confident that it will do great. Some may not like the lack of onboard charging (the flashlight comes with an independent charger that will charge the included 21700 battery as well as many others in your collection), but this lack of a port means that the flashlight can accompany you underwater properly. Great flashlight for diving, but also great for emergencies (waterproof) or for someone who just wants a basic flashlight that is super bright! The switch is very satisfying to click back and forth, and the beam is beautiful, check out my video to see it in action. Wurkkos has done it again!

DL02 - It's nice. I like the switch.
First off I want to state I received this light for the purpose of reviewing by Wurkkos. I will put forward likes and dislikes about the light in hope of helping those considering it for purchase. Most of my use with the light was over several nights as I walked the dogs. The light seemed well packaged and included a few accessories like extra O-rings, lanyard, a USB-C charger and a short charge cable. The charger isn’t anything fancy but got the job done and is fairly compact. The light also had a protective tab inside to keep the battery from making contact with one of the springs during shipment. The larger size lanyard is easy to put on and take off and the rubber tube is a nice touch. The switch was my favorite part about the light. Being able to find the switch easily in the dark and pick just what mode you want in a hurry was great. I also really like the overall smooth aesthetic and feel of the design. I did a minimal water submersion test and operated the switch under water and it seemed to keep water out just fine. The color balance of the LED is pretty cool but seemed appropriate for the intended purpose of the light and for good clarity at night. This LED seemed pretty powerful and put out a good amount of light. It also gets warm pretty quick on high. The 21700 battery is a nice slim battery for its capacity and gives good battery life. The ability to mechanically lock out the light by unscrewing the head half a turn or so is helpful. If putting the light in a bag this is a great idea so it can’t accidentally get turned on. I also like that the light uses a non-proprietary battery. The battery level indicator is always on if the light is on. My biggest dislike was not having a fourth lower power setting. I had to train myself to keep the spot on the horizon and use the less intense part of the beam to look at things up close. This method seemed to help and I got pretty used to it. The lanyard hole also has slightly harder edges and was a little thinner than I really liked but once the lanyard is installed it didn’t seem to be a problem and felt pretty sturdy. All things considered the DL02 feels like a solid light. It has a bit of weight to it at 7 ounces (200 grams) with the battery. The more I used the light the more I liked it. For me the biggest improvement that would make the light much more versatile would be one more additional lower power setting. The switch is different than most but what makes it unique and fun to use.

A super bright and easy to use light!
If you don’t mind removing the battery to charge, this is a great all arounder. It’s even easy to use with gloves on! Knowing that it’s good to 100 meters underwater is great, but this also means I don’t have to worry about using it in the rain, or even just leaving it in the rain! The light comes with a 5000mah 21700 battery and it lasts quite a while. Like I mentioned earlier, you do need to unscrew the tail cap and remove the battery when it eventually needs to be charged, but it’s a totally waterproof flash, so this makes sense. There’s no SOS, or strobe modes to move through, it’s just high, medium and low. Nice and simple. The beam that comes out of this is primarily a spot light, or a throw, but the spill is so bright it’s really useful, which is why I think this is a great all around light.

Amazing Dive Light!
This dive light is awesome! It has incredible throw and is the brightest light I've ever had rated for diving (it even makes a great flashlight for use topside). The user interface is simple and intuitive. I have only tested it in shallow waters so far (bathtub pictured and shallow pool ~4 ft) but it has not had any issues and seems to be very well built to stay waterproof. Runtime seems to be very good; the 21700 battery packs a lot of power. I've added a picture of the DL02 between the HD01 and FC12 for size comparison. It would be good if the handle had a little more texture to grip (I'm planning to add some marine grip tape to mine), but the included wrist strap also works fine. I can't wait to use this on my next dive trip!

Great waterproof flashlight, and very bright
This light is really bright and comes with a pretty unique UI, entirely controlled by the magnetic dial. Center mode is off, counter-clockwise once is medium, twice is low, and clockwise once (from center) is high (which at 3000 lumens, is really more of a turbo to me). Each mode indexes with a satisfying magnetic snap. The light has a quality machined feel to it, and has a bit of weight. It's larger than most EDC lights, but not as much as some other full-size throwers. The light can headstand, but not tailstand due to the lanyard cutout. The body does have a unique ergonomic shape with a taper towards the back. Most of the weight is in the head of the light. I'm not the biggest fan of this, since it means your natural grip position will cover the magnetic switch, requiring you to adjust your grip whenever you need to change modes. With that said, it feels fine in the hand when you're just holding it. The body is sealed to the head with double O-rings, which do a great job of keeping the water out. I can't say much about how well it'd hold up at depth, but it did pass the bathroom sink test with flying colors. One interesting thing to note: since the switch is magnetically operated, if you place a magnet near the switch, the light will turn on without turning the dial. I don't think this is too much of a negative, more of a quirk of the design, but something to keep in mind. My only real complaint with this light is that there is no low/moonlight mode. Even the 300 lumen "low" mode can be a bit too bright, and you still have to go past medium to get there. I like lights that give you quick access to a moonlight/ ultra low mode straight from off. At the very least, I would have preferred they swapped the medium/low mode on the UI selection so you can get straight to low from off. I took a few pics of this flashlight with a few other lights I use often. Compared to the others, this one beat them all in terms of brightness and clarity, with only the SP36 BLF on high coming close. In the group picture, from left to right: Wurkkos DL02, Sofirn SP36 BLF, a cheap zoomie, and a Wurkkos HD15R. All in all, a great flashlight from a solid flashlight company. Way brighter than you'll ever need, and would recommend to anyone looking for a waterproof light.

Nice solid light.
The DL02 is a nice solid and well built light. The switch is simple to use, there are 3 settings (low, medium, and high). It produces an awesome spot and beam that can reach a good distance and the spill of the flood will light up a big area. To charge the battery, you must remove the 21700 5000mah battery to charge it on the charger that is supplied with the light. The battery does last a long time on one charge. There are no charging ports on the outside to help raise the waterproof level. It is rated to 100m deep, but I do not have a way to test. I do believe it can do that easily. I will use the light to check the yard at night or to keep an eye on the dogs as they run the yard. It is a great light to search with if needed.

Solid Outdoorsman’s Light
I have a handful of lights from Wurkkos now. Everything from small EDC lights to bigger, more powerful torches and everything in between. What I haven’t had, until now, was a light from their “diving” collection. I admit I hadn’t even looked at their dive lights because I don’t scuba dive. Never have, likely never will. I now realize I was missing out on what may be an ideal beam pattern for many of my outdoor pursuits. What I like: Beam pattern! Not to go into too much detail, but I often am outdoors and need to throw a lot of light fairly far, but not far enough to want a true thrower. I’ve been trying a TS22 - 70.3 for this but wishing I had just a bit more reach. The DL-02 provides that reach in a nice, bright, not-too-small hotspot. It has almost a secondary hotspot a bit wider and then some spill, but most of the light is right in the center. The switch! I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed having a physical switch on a light rather than the various types of push buttons. The switch is great and come winter I’m going to love it while wearing gloves. As pointed out in other reviews, just unscrew the body a tiny bit and the switch disables preventing it from coming on in a pocket or backpack. Small size versus output. This light packs a punch. The color is on the cool side. Not annoyingly so, but cool light throws further so it’s worth the trade off for my uses. Things I don’t like: This one is tough. There’s nothing that would dissuade me from recommending the light, but I have to pick at least one dislike. The body of the light is very smooth. That hasn’t been a problem yet but I can imagine it might in the right circumstance. Overall I would highly recommend this light for anyone wanting a compact, very bright, focused hotspot in a light with an actual switch. I can’t oversell the switch enough.
