Dimex Office Chair Mat for Low Pile Carpet with Lip, 36" x 48", Clear

i purchased this mat in aug 2022, and it finally started cracking now, almost 4 years later. It was used frequently as well, and it held up better than any other plastic mat ive had in the past. All the other mats Ive had would either tear up the carpet, or crack right down the middle, and become garbage within 2 years. They were also almost double the price. Now that i need a new one, i realized how long this one lasted, so i immediately looked through my purchase history and was happy to see its still being sold. Just purchased a 2nd one, and highly recommend it especially if you are someone that spends a lot of time in a computer chair, and have experienced how annoying some of these chair mats can be.

Received damaged but will keep. Too much trouble to return. Corner of box was crushed and corner of plastic broken off (1-2" piece). Otherwise satisfactory.

I bought this pad in 2023 and needed to replace it after 2 years. This is probably OK since I use my desk every day. This unit was eventually flat, stiff, easy to roll and provided proper floor protection. To replace this unit, I bought one from Sallous because it was a little cheaper. I've been rolling on the Sallous one for 1-2 days now after laying it out flat and putting ottoman on it. I feel like the Sallous mat is harder to roll on and I can still see waves but maybe they will eventually flatten. What's not clear is if a unit bought today is identical to what I bought in 2023.

Horrible chemical smell to the mat. Kept it outside for a few days and brought it back in and it’s still smelled. Washed it down with soap and water, let it sit outside for a couple more days to dry. After all that, the mat still had a strong chemical smell to it. My wife said she would put it in her office, after one day of working in her office she was coughing and didnt feel good. Threw the mat outside. I contacted the company and told them what I did, rep said that I did what they would recommend. Rep mailed me a new mat. I had the same problem with the new mat. I contacted the company again and rep said they would send me a refund check. Company sent me a refund check but made out to the street I live on. Contacted the company again and they said they would send me another check, never saw a check. I finally gave up on this mat and the company and went to go to my local Office store to get a mat. No problems with that mat.

Ive had it a year and a half before it started cracking, now it is cracking significantly. I hoped for a longer lasting product

This is a repeat purchase, very happy with this mat. Doesn't curl, slip around, or crack. And a great price point.

Is this chair?Matt is the best one you can get for the money and it does not have a smell to it at all like a skunk has no smell at all. and made of good material easily slide your chair great protection for carpeted floors the thickness is very good too. And it unrolled and flattened out without a problem after one day. I expect it to last a very long time.We will see

This certainly is a good mat for putting over a 1 inch high pile carpet to ensure the desk chair casters roll easy and the carpet is protected. So far it's doing a great job! The size is just right, though it could be another 2 inches wider to be perfect for me.

My main gripe with this is that the product description says this is 'odor free' which is flat-out false: it has a strong smell. A bigger issue with it from a practical perspective is that it is very hard to unroll, and even after a week of use does not sit fully flat. That sat, I haven't had any major issues actually using it. I notice indentations from the chair, but not large enough to make it hard to roll, unlike some other reviewers.

On carpet for swivel office chair.

I've had this item for a little over a week now and so far, I can say that it works really well with extremely heavy office chairs. It has very sturdy spikes that help grip to low pile carpets. My chair is very heavy and the wheels leave dent marks on the mat. Although, this goes away after a few hours once you roll the chair to a different position. It's quite heavy and curls on the end after initially unpacking it. However, I just set some weights on the corners and it's fully flat now. Overall, 5 stars. Does the job. I will update this comment in the future if I notice cracking.
