Functional Long-Range Driveway Alarm
The wireless alarm I ordered looks different. The motion sensor looks similar, but the receiver looks totally different with an eMACROS logo on it. I do not use it to detect motion on my driveway. I use it to detect motion on the main path that leads to our front door. The sensor is waterproof, and the base/receiver is plugged in.This alarm works well. Its webpage advertises the operating range of its sensor-transmitter to be up to half a mile, which is 2640 feet. For a system without external antennas, using only 4 AA batteries (6VDC), and with such an affordable price, being able to communicate with each other at that range is quite a feat, a questionable one. I do not have the means to verify such a claim, but this alarm system has by far the longest range of all the wireless systems that I own. With a laser measuring tool. I tested it standing outside of my house, with my wife staying inside, assisting me over the phone. The base/receiver and the sensor/transmitter are separated by a double door and a wall with a 58.5-inch opening. It still worked well at 120 feet. If I wanted to test farther than that, I would have to go into my neighbor’s property, so I stopped. The following organizations certify it:• CE Marking (Conformité Européenne), which certifies that this product complies with EU (European Union) safety, health, and environmental requirements.• FCC (Federal Communications Commission), which certifies that the radio frequency of this product does not cause harmful interference.• RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), which certifies that this product complies with the restriction use of specific hazardous materials found in electronic and electrical products; it is globally recognized.Being certified by these respectable organizations means this alarm system is safe to use. It performs well, and I recommend it.

Works as described~
Excellent item. I have a very long driveway, with lots of tree coverage. These work every time someone comes through my gate. Highly recommended!

Very helpful!
We have a long driveway and, although we have cameras at the areas surrounding the house, it is good to know she someone has entered the driveway. It gives us a "heads up" that someone is on the way. A sort of driveway door bell, if you will. We are loving it so far! It has been catching appropriate motion without setting off false alarms. So I think it is made pretty well and it seems to be functioning quite well in Sun, darkness, rain or shine.

Works well
Vine reviewer here giving you my honest hands-on review and inspection of the product you are considering. This works well. We put it in the basement which has an outside access. So far, no issues with it randomly going off, except when I forget to turn it off! But it was super easy to install and gives us some peace of mind.

Good early alert to somebody entering your property
We live on a hill with a fairly long driveway so we can't really see the entrance to the driveway from our house. This driveway alarm has helped to alert us when somebody is coming up the hill. Not necessarily just for the concerns of crime, but also to help us know if a visitor is coming or a package delivery. There's been times where we've been able to catch somebody coming up the driveway in a vehicle that would scrape and stop them. Occasionally doesn't seem to trigger or the signal doesn't reach but it's about 90% effective, which is better than previously, which was zero.

1/2 Mile Hosmart Driveway Alarm
I do not recommend this unit to anyone. Have had it one month. had to change battery's in the house unit 3x already and the unit alarm that goes outside is already dead. 1 miserable month. Not happy with this item at all!!!!

Reliably alerting
I put this sensor at the end of my long driveway, and it has sounded the alarm every time a car has driven past it, and without any false alarms. It is probably about half a mile distance, so I would say the range is great. While it is performing its intended action, several features have a poor design. Firstly, both the sensor and alarm should have used rechargeable batteries. I bought 4 rechargeable AA batteries, and will have to open the back up every time. Also, the sensitivity adjustment and alarm sound switches are underneath where you install the batteries. The actual alarm is even more inconvenient, as it has to remain plugged in for power. At least it has a usb-c plug, so I was able to hook it up to a power bank and take it out into the back yard. Then you have to carry both around, though. A smaller alarm that could go in my pocket would have worked so much better. There are areas of the property from where I have no view of the house or driveway, and I want to know if anyone pulls in, especially if I am mowing and the garage has been left open. The directions made it easy to pair the sensor to the alarm. There are 4 sound choices, and I don't like any of them. They sound very tinny/old fashioned, and I wish there was one with just a simple beep. I also don't like how the red number 3 just stays lit up any time the power is on. A small red dot would have looked less obnoxious. If you don't hear the alarm, there is nothing to indicate that it was activated. I would like a way to tell that it has sounded that I can then reset. It would also be helpful to know how many times it went off while you are away from home. Lastly, the sensor comes with mounting hardware that could only be used on a flat surface. Since I was installing this on a round tree trunk, I had to get bungee cords to hold it on. The hooks fit securely into the holes where the mouting screws would have gone. The rotating ball joint doesn't seem very secure, though, and a slight bump moves the sensor out of place. It stays attached but seems to gradually slip over time, making the sensor point more downward. I am glad to have a working alarm, but this one seems too expensive for having to deal with all of these inconvenient features. They seem to have used good technology inside clunky harware. There will be an update regarding accuracy and longevity.
