New Times... New Razors
Honestly... I was skeptical of this razor at first. Mostly because you put a razor blade into it and that scares me. I had ordered a shaving kit for my boyfriend with a razor like this and after seeing his results? I needed to try! So I went and got me one. Its truly a great shave, and thats saying something coming from me as I have insanely sensitive skin. Usually plastic razors leave me itchy and red- but this one didnt cause anything of the sort! If your looking to buy this, I'd 100% recommend it. If your like me, and your scared, I totally get it. But it's definitely worth the learning curve... I nicked myself a few times but it was no big deal. Still have a totally smooth shave everywhere! Once youve got it down... there is NO going back!

A Must-Have for the Smoothest Shave
This single-blade safety razor is an absolute must-have. Don't believe the lie that multi-blade cartridges or electric razors are better—they simply cannot compare to the closeness and quality you get here. This type of razor provides the smoothest, cleanest shave available. Tips for a Perfect, Safe Shave The biggest worry people have is cutting themselves, but it is extremely easy to avoid. If you take the time to lather up properly (using cream, soap, or gel), you will have no issues with accidental nicks. Even if you do accidentally cut yourself, it's rarely serious or noticeable. I've used this single-blade razor EVERYWHERE—on my face and body—and have never had a bad or noticeable injury. It is a fantastic tool that delivers professional results with minimal risk. Make the switch!

Good quality
Great quality, after months of use it still performs well. No corrosion or aging.

Great Investment
I love this razor. I like how high quality it is and I love the color. The blades also don't dull quickly so the need for replacements is very rare. Great product. Will last a long time.

Cheaply made and broke after two months
This is not a good razor period because it is cheap and will inevitably break, but beyond that it is certainly not a good beginner razor for men. It is quite aggressive so you have to ge very slowly and carefully not cut yourself really badly. The tolerances on this thing are also very sloppy, so you have to painstakingly adjust the blade every time you put in a new blade before tightening it to get something approximating an even blade reveal. Otherwise, you will cut yourself even worse for sure. I got a new razor after this one broke and it's just a cheap, basic butterfly razor and it's way better in every way because I feel like I have much better control and don't have to make these microadjustments to the blade reveal or anything. It just works. What else is there to say? For some reason I can't upload pictures I have of the broken razor, but rest assured the thing broke after only two months of use (I was only shaving every two or three days as well by the way). The screw that is attached to the top cap and screws into the handle simply broke off as I was screwing it in. I guess you have to be really careful so as to not overtighten it or the thing will break (I was hardly putting any torque on it, to be sure), but at the same time make sure you tighten it enough so it doesn't come loose as you're shaving. This hunk of junk made me irate enough to write this review when I've never written a review for anything I've bought on Amazon before. I have no idea how this became a beset seller besides the cheap price point and I guess being able to market it to both men and women. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. You are not saving money by buying this thing. You're going to have to replace it later anyway, sooner rather than later most likely. Spend the extra $5-10 to get something a little more expensive and it will be of way higher quality that should actually last. It doesn't have to be something extravagant, just a practical, cheap workhorse razor. This is not what you're looking for.

Love it, much easier to use than expected
I love this little razor! Super close shave, and so far no irritation (will update if it pops up in the next couple of days). I was reaaally surprised at how easy it was to use. As a beginner, I was honestly nervous that I'd cut myself a bunch of times, but I didn't even knick myself once! I like the weight of the handle, it helps you to let the razor do the work instead of pushing down like a multi-blade razor. I like how both edges of the razor is exposed so you can flip it over and rinse it less often. I have absolutely turned into a single blade user! No looking back for me!

Best Part is the Handle
First off, if you are new to safety razors, do yourself a favor and throw away the garbage no-name blades that are included with many razors and get yourself some decent blades like Astra or Lord... they are cheap. There is a huge difference, trust me. I got the black version. Bought mainly for the handle, but figured I'd try it with the included head before using the handle with a Lord L6 head. This razor is fairly light for its size - I'm guessing it's made of cast aluminum or aluminum alloy. As another reviewer noted, the head design is based off of a Feather AS-D2 - a very mild, high-end razor - but it fails to mimic the Feather in function. If the Lord L6 (my gold standard of comparison) is a 5/10 aggressive, then this razor is a 7/10, sitting in the medium-aggressive range. The blade sits on two horizontal tabs on the cap which go through the baseplate. The blade does not automatically align (or get anywhere close, for that matter) and has a lot of wiggle room, so you will have to try to align the blade properly while tightening on the handle. This is made a bit difficult due to the lack of blade tab protrusion on the sides of the head, which could also be seen as a plus. However, you do still need to be careful when tightening on the handle, because a slip could still cause a cut due to the exposed blade corners. The head does not have sufficient clamping force to secure the blade to prevent excess flex. While the blade doesn't move around once tightened, it just seems to have too much flex and chatter. The blade exposure is significant and will certainly be felt on the skin. I did not have any cuts after shaving my face, but felt a bit raw even with my usual shaving cream and blade. Yep, I'm just going to put the L6 head on this rather nice, lightweight, and fairly grippy handle and call it good. The head just doesn't cut it for me.

Great razor!
This is a great razor! I was worried that I’d slice my face up jumping from the plastic disposable double blade razors to this safety razor, but if anything I’ve been less prone to nicking myself thus far, maybe because I’m taking a bit more care while shaving. I even go back against the grain to get an even closer shave and still no problem with tugging or nicks. I get a much closer shave than with the disposable razors and now I’m not throwing away all that plastic every few days. So glad I made the switch. Take care when assembling the razor as the picture diagrams are incredibly small; you CAN install the blade incorrectly, so be careful. Has a nice weight to it, good construction and design, and seems likely to last quite a while. Take the plunge. Mother Earth will thank you for it.
