Awesome Dryer Vent Hose---Stand out feature, thick end rings
Ok, first though not technically a feature, the packaging was so well designed, that this vent hose was not creased, dented or out of alignment on delivery. The hose is built like a slinky, which helps, but it was in a tight fitting, tall box and then in a plastic sleeve, with the hose clamps slipped over the hose but protected from being torn by them. Nice packing job! #1 The Best A+ No. 1 feature---the ends of the hose are reinforced with thick rings that make installation on the dryer pipe (which is sort of short and jagged) and onto whatever connection you have venting to the outside, incredibly easy. If you can see it in the picture, the reinforced part of the coating is thick enough you can fit the clamp ring over it and still have extra room. The extra thickness gives you room to fit it over the dryer pipe and then get the clamp over all of it, ensuring that the hose won't slip off as you put the dryer back in position. And it doesn’t look like it will start to lose its integrity when it comes time to remove the hose for cleaning. I anticipate the ends of the hose holding up. The reinforced bits are something that should be on every vent hose. Yes, most foil vent hoses have some bit of thickening or little ring at the end, but it’s not as substantial and it’s usually short and the foil tears away from it quite easily. This is a much better design. #2 The Accordion style pleats allow the rings of this hose to compress back on themselves, like a Slinky, so even at six feet you don't have to shorten the hose. Cutting hoses often messes up the structure and then the alignment of the hose goes off, and each time you have to detach or reattach the hose it gets harder to manage. #3 The substantial plastic coating on this hose really protects the internal foil part, so that it doesn't get torn when installing or moving it around when you move the dryer to clean. #4 Substantial clamp rings, packaged (again with the packaging!) so that they were not squashed or bent in transit and they didn’t tear the hose. I have learned from my past dryer vent hose mistakes. No more rigid metal hoses that get squashed and if you have to size them down, create structural problems and razor sharp edges. No more paper thin foil or plastic hoses that are easily torn and don't have the larger, reinforced ends. I have no complaints. This is a fantastic dryer hose, and I was motivated to get online and write a review right after installing it, because I hate working on the dryer and this was so easy it wasn't even work If the manufacturer wanted to make the product even better they might substitute the clamp rings for the type with the little turn- key built in (I took one off another unit) then you wouldn't even need the one tool (the screwdriver) that's required to tighten the clamp rings. And maybe they could offer white or grey as color options. But that’s just picking nits. Great product!

It's a flexible hose.....
Very good quality, seems pretty heavy duty

Perfect fit for dryer window vent. Great quality
Very good quality. I have fingernails and I was worried I was going to tear it putting it over the vent, but it never tore and I felt like I was catching it with my nails. Seems insulated good too. It was perfect fit for window dryer vent.

Good value for the cost
I use this flexible duct to cover the original plastic duct and extension I added to my AC unit. It covers the holes in the original duct and stops the hot air leaks. The interior foil lining works well to insulate the plastic duct, greatly reducing the heat emitted for the unit. The install over the plastic duct requires patience to prevent tearing the lining. It may look a little unsightly, but the improved cooling of your room and the cost are worth it. I also tried an insulating sleeves that wraps around the duct. Those work well to insulate, but I found them difficult a keep in place around the bends.

Here's why you want to buy this...
High quality, easy installation, and inexpensive price aside, this product does what you can't find elsewhere, at least in my exhaustive search. It offers flexibility, and more importantly, the closest thing you'll find to something that's elastic. Pure plastic hoses are no longer legal, and for good reason they're a fire hazard. But what they offered was a semi-retractable hose that would try to contract to the shortest length when you push your dryer back to the wall after being installed. Every pure aluminum hose I've ever used stayed extended many feet, curled up and crimped which greatly impedes the air flow and clogs with lint. This one for the most part, retracts to the shortest length possible and does not dent/crimp. Frankly, I've got zero idea why this is not the only way to design a dryer hose, much less this one being the only one I could find. For you entrepreneurs out there, I think a pure silicon design would corner the market. Patent pending :)

For the price, its good.
First off, I wouldn't say this is insulated, its more like the regular thin foil flex hoses you get at a big box store, but with an additional layer of black plastic on the outside. It is slightly thicker than those flex hoses, and it does the job, but don't mistake it for true insulated hoses that have an inch or more of fiberglass between the flex hose and the outer layer. It comes with two hose clamps which alone sell for $2-3 each at the store, and the hose has nicely finished ends. It works for ventilation hose (I would NOT use it for a dryer, but for AC or bathroom vents, it will work). It claims 16 feet, but I would say the true working length is probably closer to 12 feet, especially when you figure as a flex hose you are going to have some bends etc.. If you were going to get the full 16 feet you would be really stretching it (literally and figuratively). This is no substitute for actual hard piping or even aluminum semi-rigid venting, but if you need an inexpensive flex hose, it will do the trick.

Nice!
Arrived on time, placed as requested, neatly packed, and undamaged. One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to attach a dryer hose, which means a twit like myself could even accomplish this task. 🚀 And– this twit did just that! 😏 The hose appears well-manufactured and is silver on the inside and black on the outside. The “O” clamps are for the most part like most others on the market, but the tightening screws were oriented on one side of the clamp housing - unlike the ones I've used in the last few years that were oriented on the top of said clamp housing. To say the least, it’s much easier to use a Phillips head screwdriver pointing down than at a peculiar angle - like lying on the floor on one’s side as I had to. 😏 Simply put, it's not easy screwing a clamp sideways... 🤷♂️ Other than that small issue, the product was decently priced and arrived within two days. Flimsy. Droopy. Floppy. Weak. Fake Images! Wrinkly & paper-thin. Go for superior Lambro instead!
I'm giving this Drasum 6 Inch Duct Easy-to-Install 8-Feet Air Duct with 2 Clamps–4 Layer PVC only 1 star partially because they unforgivably advertise with fake, misleading images and descriptions. The images and supporting descriptions lead me to believe this 6-inch flexible duct featured a smooth and far-stronger pleated black PVC outer layer than it truly does. In actuality, the black PVC outer layer is wrinkly and paper-thin. It is so unrigid and flimsy that the duct droops and hangs like a stretched slinky under its own weight. This flexible duct is FAR from semi-rigid. I bought the 8ft version with the intention of using it for venting my range hood. When you hold one end of this flimsy duct above your head, all it takes is gravity to immediately expand it to 6 feet long. And I suspect that if you tried to stretch it by an additional 2 feet (good luck if you need the full advertised 8 ft length!) you'd really be pushing it. AND I now also realize this duct's technical specs (e.g., temp ratings) are equally poor. I'm immediately returning this UNUSED Drasum 6 Inch Duct! Sure, $13.99 with two clamps included sure was an enticing price, but you're getting what you pay for - and not even that in my book! NOTE: I have now instead purchased the Lambro 6" X 8ft semi-rigid duct (model L306) and there's no comparison! The Lambro is flexible but truly semi-rigid and it's rated and tested to far superior specifications that reflect the huge difference in strength. The Lambro is rated for -86F to +482F while tested to 662F degrees! The max air velocity and max work pressure specs are equally impressive. When you look down through these two ducts for comparison, the inner wall of the Lambro is so much smoother than the inner wall of the Drasum duct. It's obvious that forced air can pass through the Lambro duct far more aerodynamically (rated at 5,000fpm/tested to 12,500fpm!) than through the flimsy, wrinkly-walled Drasum duct! The Lambro feels VERY much stronger and durable, needs to be gently pulled to expand it to the length you want (and no more!), it's flexible, doesn't droop or hang like a slinky, and can hold a shape when you intentionally bend it. The Lambro only cost an additional 6 bucks, but for me, it was a "NO BRAINER"!
